is it sold in ibiza? My friend who is coming to ibiza with us this year has crones disease. If he drinks Yakult in a morning he is ok. if he dosent then his stomach can give him a bit of trouble. if you can buy it there then he dosent need to take any.

Anyone know if they do?

sorry but have been trying to get in touch with my friend whose daughter suffers from the same and often goes to Ibiza but I can't get hold of him. However, I would be very surprised if it is not available in the major supermarkets on the island - most european products are available.
Hope everything works out ok and if I find out I will post again

cheers pal. we not leaving till tuesday night so ill keep checking back. I recon they will cause i dont think its a british brand so if it is britain i expect it to be in spain.

I used to buy this for a UK retail chain a few years ago. The company is quite small.

Why not ask them to find out what the Spanish Distributor is and if they have a registered stockist on the island?

I think yakult is korean or japanese..

anyway I suggest you freeze a dozen or so and take them with you.
once you get to ibiza put them in the fridge and freezer and you will not have to worry about getting them on the island..

put them in a small box with dry ice or an eskie etc.. you will be sweet

I love a Sunday night in Eularia, wander around the marina to waste a bit of time, watch five-a-side on the beach and maybe a meal in Skuma.
Will be there this time next month in time for my wifes birthday on 26th - just hope I can sort out a car for which silly prices are being quoted.

freezing yakult or any other live culture is a waste of time. freezing the organism makes the water it contains turn to ice which rupture the cell wall killing it, and making the point of ingesting a living culture nul and void.

i have seen the danone bio-drinks available in supermarkets, if you can't find these at least try and get live yoghurt, it contains an acidiphilic bacteria which can do a similar job.

You enquired if Yakult is available in the Canary Islands. To my knowledge
it is available in 26 countries world-wide but I am afraid that Ibzia
(Canary Islands) is not one of them.

im sorry but i never claimed ibiza to be one of the Canary islands!!! still they answered my question!
