Worst mangerial appointment ever

sammy lee was worse

I feel really sorry for him (to a point).

He looked like he had been quantum leaped in sometimes - bang - your a premiership football manager in front of the cameras - er er commitment, 110%, for the badge....

I hope he gets a decent (coaching only mind) job, as his record in that role was top class, Liverpool, England etc.

It was like making me Prime Minister, such was the leap.

Are you sure, Chewie?

On the BBC site it says he tendered his resignation before the match but stayed on the job until the end of the match.

So, Ramos & Poyet next season? Does that mean the rest of this season is a write-off?

i disagree. he oversaw and has been responsible for some of the dullest, ****est, boring, backward football ever seen in england.

liverpool from souness to houllier, sven's england, big sam's bolton.

he was little more than a brown nose as a player and ron yeats once called him a "total gob****e".

Steve Staunton as manager of Ireland, the FAI should follow him out the door, bunch of clowns.
WE GOT THE IDEA ALREADY!!!!! CAN YOU PLEASE LET IT REST!!!

...and aside from that, totally off topic! We're talking about today's Premier League managerial changes :spank:

Get off the fence and speak your mind!;)

I accept my view on him was not based on any real analysis, rather the names he has been associated with. But surely he can't have bluffed his way that far?!

Just seen most of recent posts are post Jol sacking. Mixing feelings, hard not to like the guy but thats a top class squad he had there. & they had to act.
The salary they are handing over to Ramos sound crazy8O, they have ****ed the recruitment process up royally.

It's like this: if I started a topic called "worst US president ever" and the first few posts were about George Bush, so it was obvious that people were talking about current issues, would you come in and starting babbling on about Calvin Coolidge?

The title was intended to specifically relate to the new Bolton manager, as per the first post. And OK, we've strayed off topic because Martin Jol left Spurs a couple hours ago. But No one is talking about managerial appointments made many months ago...especially Ireland's national team. Pay attention, dammit!

As a Leicester fan, this is a great day for me! and I feel sorry for any Trotters out there!

Agree with Grego, his style of football is the dullest around. When Mad Dog Allen was in charge at city he tried to instill a sense of pride, a good work ethic and attractive football into the team. Megson destroyed that with his long ball, defend defend defend tactics.

Megson is a love him or hate him charactar... and I know for a fact that the moral in Forest went down the pan when he was appointed. I can't wait to see what messers El Haj Diouf and Anelka make of him.

I reckon he will be gone by before the end of the season (and Anelka and Diouf in the January window)

Are we a little fired up? I am going back to my corner now.;):D
