Cant believe it - all the build up to the holiday and at the click of fingers - disappointment.

Misses got food poisoning first day so we neever actually did anything!

Here's what went off:

Sunday - Landed - went for a walk in the day and out for meal at night
Monday - woke up and misses was feeling ill so stayed in all day and night
Tuesday - Misses was getting worse - sickness etc.... so again stayed in all day and night and looked after her.
Wednesday - took misses to clinic and was then driven to hospital in san antonio. here she spent 13 hurs on a drip and we came out at 1:30am - told she had food poisoning.
Thusday - Woke up - she felt better so had a beach day - went to watch sunset at mambo and for a few drinks at night - however she could only drink water and eat boiled pasta.
Friday - had another beach day and went to savannah to see pete tong - also went to eden @ night for wonderland. Not all night though as misses felt bad again so went home at 4am
Saturday - got presents for back home - went to ibiza old town at night for meal etc - lovely place
Sunday - came home.

all in all holiday rating was about 4/10.

Love ibiza as a place but because of the illness we never did that much

what did she eat in uk before going out.and did you eat on the plane ie there meal.or your own...plus did you eat the same foods.

on the saturday night before we flew she ate a chicken kebeb. we ate the same meal on the plane and becuase we were so busy after landing we only ate on sunday night - and that was spaghetti bol mate

gutted for you mate and yer missus on that note .... u look forward to your ibiza trip and these things come up and bite u on the arse!!! :x

That's really awful. My wife and I were in Playa del Carmen Mexico last year and both got strep throat a day after we landed!! Getting sick on holiday is the absolute worst.

Sorry to read of your misfortune & i hope you reported the eaterie concerned to the local authorities?

Reading through the various post's has got me thinking that this scenario must be most holidaymaker's worst night mare? I was supposed to be going out for an Indian meal with friends this evening, but i'll telephone them to cancel it as i don't want the same fate occuring to me & thus ruining my holiday as of from tomorrow over on Ibiza.

Dave

that aint good, mate, gutted for you. only advice would be to go to we love sundays @ space and you'd have never of had the food poisoning!

Gutted for you mate. There's only one thing for it. Get booked for next year with your mates and don't take the missus. Only joking but you should book again.

Such a shame, but at least it wasn't anything more serious! Really makes you think how much more careful you ought to be on a holiday - I never think twice about ordering for example a salad, which is meant to be one of the riskiest meals since it's not cooked so all the bacteria is still alive... hmmm

thats pish man, sorry to hear that

how about using the money you saved on clubbing to surprise the mrs with a trip over for the closing parties?

excellent time to go and fairly cheap in comparison?

oh mate, nightmare.

a few of our friends came out Sunday, came to Pacha that night then fell ill on the next day pretty mush for two days then flew back on Wednesday. Self induced tho mind, but still gutted for them & it put a downer on us.

As above, go back, if only for a long weekend in September so you can make up for lost time.

Really sorry to hear that, it really is the worse being ill on holiday. Ive never been THAT ill but been ill in other ways.

Poor thing.

Lets hope you go back again and have a wicked time

hi guys, cheers for the comments....

I'd love to go back but dont think til next year - we rent a house at min and are saving up for a proper house - but we plan to go back next year :)

Its not all doom and gloom though - when we came back misses said because i'd look after her then i could have a treat - so had a look at the situation...came back to the UK from Ibiza with about £500...so this week i went out and bought a HD Tv for the bedroom and a new surround sound system for the lounge! :) Happy days! also got the new Liverpool shirt with Torres on the back :)

To give you an update on the misses though....she is now eating properly however, still abit ill so had to go to our doctors today. But should be all good in a few days :)

Surely it wasn't the Kebab if she didn't get sick till the Monday?

you can get compylo bacta (spelling?) from infected chicken which can take up to 48 hours to manifest itself, I got the same thing from eating infected chicken from india over christmas, luckily it was on the day before i came home so wasnt unwell until the day after i landed. I had all sorts of tests done to confirm this and took two weeks to recover.
