Hi everyone
my hubby has to go in for an operation on his stomach possibly end oct beginning Nov,
I know how much of a pain he is, he finds it impossible at home to just sit down and rest, so Im thinking of bringing him back to Ibiza which we both love, and he wil be able to relax, hes not a nightclub type person, so the main clubs being shut is not an issue, we normally go to Donnegans and the pink panther, and Bucaneros.which Id imagine are going to shut,
So which bars are going to be open in San An at that time,or cafes and are there a few restaurants Id imagine that San An is going to be quiet at this time , whats the rest of the island like at this time,
thanks
Heather

well i would book for 24th 25th oct for a week,it will be quite but a lot of places will still be open.pink panther does not shut till last day of season anyway.if you leave it any later to book.it will be dead playa den bossa is like a ghost town on last few days.but when you get to airport for last flights out.its unreal where all those people have come from.mainly workers and the last few trippers.

Heather, Santa Eulalia and Ibiza town are fairly lively all year round. Santa Eulalia has more Brits around than Ibiza town.

thanks for the advice guys, we might hire a car after a few days depending on how hubby feels, had thought San an would of had more brits, but thanks for the heads up on that, will look into accommodation in the Santa Eulalia, and have a trip to san an,

I would have thought it would be a perfect pick me up, driving around the island on relatively quiet roads. If it were me post op, would much prefer the exploring option to being holed up in a bar all day:idea:

I'd rather be laid comfortably on a sun lounger or something than couped up in a small hatchback on some relatively bumpy roads. That's just me though ;)

that is the general idea Lee, but hoping to come for about 10 - 14 days, after 10 days of hubby being inactive Im going to be ready for stuffing a pillow over his face, hes worse than a kid with his constant cries of Im bored, but he loves Ibiza,as do I, so hopefully he wont complain too much, and if I promise him a couple of days away from the hotel he MIGHT not complain as much,:twisted:

Hi again guys, hubby now has a date for his op, middle of November.but unfortunately he,s now developed a hernia, so hes going to be off work for AT LEAST 4 weeks, but due to it being a big op, hes not allowed to fly,for 4-6 weeks after surgery
so it looks like we,ll be doing the journey like this,

3 hour drive to London
29th Nov Eurostar London - Paris
arriving Paris 8.30pm
30th November hotel train Paris -Barcelona
leaves Paris 8.30pm arrives Barcelona 8.25 am(1st Dec)
1st December ferry to Ibiza
leaves at 10.30pm arrives Ibiza 7am (2nd)

then coming home

14th December Ferry to Barcelona
leaves 10.30am arrives Barcelona 7.30pm
15th December Barcelona - Paris
leaves 9pm, arrives Paris 9am (16th)
16th December Paris to london
leaves 5.13pm arrives London 6.30 pm

then a 3 hour journey back home

OMG Surely there must be an esier way, without flying, hubby wont be able to drive a long distance so thats not an option either, as I dont drive
