Wireless Net in the bars?!

Okay, I've only gone and got myself an EeePC (Google it!) - so it'll accompany me on this year's trip.

Do any/most of the bars have free wi-fi? I'm thinking Mambo/Cafe Del Mar/Kanya etc??

I'm heading over again in June, so would be great to loaf with a cool pint winding my friends up back in grey old Blighty ;-)

So I googled it and came up with this

Have fun at Cafe Del Mar!

I used WIFI in a bar in October. I don't recall the name but it's next to the supermarket opposie El Coral(sports shop) in San An. When you buy a drink they give you the password.

Lol! I am getting on a bit (nearly 40) haha..

It's a dinky little thing, great for those boring train/plane journeys, and a bargain at 200 notes.

Harbour

RITAS CAFE on the port is a geat place for people watching and has wifi, open early morning until late at night xx

Some tech writer has no idea what their talking about

EeePC is just an ultrafordable ultraportable PC.... meant for schools, students, , low-budget road warriors, etc. Looks tasty, to be honest, but I recently sprung for something three times as expensive but with a lot more memory (and runs on Windows as opposed to the EeePC's Linux).

In Playa den Bossa, there's WiFi at the bar in Garbi Hotel.

If it says "free internet" then it will almost certainly be WiFi (they pronounce it weefee here.)
Sunset cafe in Plaza del Parc, Ibiza town has it.

many bars in ibiza town, san antonio and playa d'en bossa have free wirless internet these days. you won't need to search far!

Just wander around with your WEEFEE enabled and it will tell you where you can get on. So many people have wireless networks unencrypted its a joke. I was surfing in my house here in Norway for free for months from about 3 networks. I finialy got fed up with the signal strength and brought my own.
However this practice is technicialy stealing, so 'you aint seen me'! right!!

People here in the UK seem to be more clued up - I've yet to stumble across an unencrypted one.

Having said that - a friend of mine though has been playing Wii online for over a year, courtesy of his neighbour's unencrypted connection!

Thx for the replies, seems like I'll be able to connect fairly easily when I get over there!

Well I'm here now - just found out my hotel has a nice fat wifi freely available near the pool area (The Bellamar). There are usually dudes with laptops sat near the dancing fountains in San An and there's a wifi spot there, though I only managed to connect to it once. Mambo apparently has one too but again I couldn't connect.

Bellamar it is for me then - I now know when the Euro 2008 semis are on ;-)
