Winter Flights are back (From the UK)

too late. we've already decided to take in a couple of nights in palma first. still cheaper than ba.

BA fares can be ludicrous - and yet they still allow Avios redemptions for £27 return and 15,000 points on the Spanish routes. My last (admittedly last-minute) Avios redemption to Barcelona was retailing fares on the same flights at just shy of 1,000 Euros.

Just need to spank £15k on yr Amex card now to cover it

having abused ryanair for the passed few years, booking flights for no money in winter and choosing whether to use them or not, I took my first BA london city flight this winter around easter. The whole london city terminal/plane they use for the flight is a complete first class experience, I will def be using them next winter

At least people in the south can visit Ibiza or vice versa. Try getting a flight to the north in winter!!!

BA from city is just an awesome all round experience (and great for celeb-spotting too, if you're into that :))

just looked again and it's now even more for two return tickets. in fact it's well over half of my monthly salary to put things into perspective!

Massive feather in the cap for BA.

£102 (no stoopid fees)
1 x 23kg checked baggage
Complimentary onboard food and bar service

How can anyone have a complaint with prices like this?

That's cheaper than the baggage alone for Ryanair this year

Flights

After last week's euphoria concerning the news that British Airways will be running
direct flights from London during the winter, the rest of the travel news is basically
doom and gloom.
Information was made public last week that there will be exactly the same number of routes
and flights during the coming winter as during the previous year,
while prices are not expected to come down.

A meeting was held between the President of the Consell, Vicent Serra, the head of Ports
and Airports, Antonio Deudero, and representatives of the relative airlines:
Air Nostrum, Vueling, Air Europa, Ryanair and Iberia Express.

Although they were also invited to attend the meeting, both Air Berlin and easyJet
declined the offer.
Iberia Express promised to give an answer within the next two weeks as to whether
it will continue with regular flights to and from Madrid during the winter months.

Although a new operator, Volotea, is advertising that they will be flying to Ibiza
from many points of the mainland, this will just be for the summer months.
