Wilson Pickett R.I.P............

...........just heard on the news this morning Wilson Pickett has died of a heart attack at the age of 64.

One of the godfathers of soul, I used play sax in a band and predominately played all his tunes...........Mustang Sally, In The Midnight Hour, etc...........

The first tunes I ever danced to in the mid 60's.........yeh, OK, so I'm old (and still dancin').

Sad loss. :cry:

That is a sad loss. Classic tunes all around.

We're at the point now that we will more frequently saying goodbye to the founding generation of that little thing called Rock & Roll (those that haven't left the party early for various reasons).

I'm just hoping for chances to see James Brown and BB King before they take their final bows.

i actually started listening soul music thanks to in the midnight hour..........
