air conditioning at end of june beg july when i go for my first holiday. its 6e a day at my hotel? is it worthwhile having?
 
Air Con is worth it at any time in the summer

Coming back from the beach/pool and walking into a cool apartment is heaven

Better than the fans which really just push the warm air around the room and are as noisy as hell
 
Yep, well worth it.

I'm sure some of our Spanish friends may say it's not needed, but when you're used to cold and miserable Scotland, it seems very hot especially when you're not wanting to have the windows/balcony open at night in case you get burgaled.

Fans are good, but I personally wouldn't even consider anywhere without Air Conditioning after last year.
 
Agree with the above. Cos I'm a tight Yorkie I did without air con last June and survived but it need a fair few Absinthes before I could drop off some nights.

Clara, most spanish friends have air con at home ;) . And I admit that after a year in this forum it still surprises me to see how people say it's not necessary...

It's definitely worth the money.

Go for it Caz, we expect a better summer than last year but definitly expect hot hot hot 8) ;)
 
do u pay for them to turn on the air conditioning when u get there or do u have to get a room with air conditioning when u book?
 
we've had a room with air con in - activated by the same keyfob-in-a-slot as the power

thats where the backing of a packet of batteries comes in handy - 24hr air con 8)
 
sure is, we always do it to.

didnt have AC lasttime though, so just had to rent a fan. Never again..it didnt do the job at all!
 
Well, all you need is a bit of card, that you cut to the size of your door entry card (normally credit card size) Can be anything..doesnt have to be from a battery packet. Cigarette packets are good ;)

Then just place it in the slot... 8) 8) 8)
 
Yeah i get u... used this little trick out in Thailand! It was the battery thing that confused me...
 
:D the hotel won't find out your using the air con like that? in thailand i needed it and going to magaluf a few years ago the sun was on our room all morning. always woke up with a fuzzy head after a few drinkies as well :roll:
