What DJ that you have seen is the best all around showman at the decks? Who dances, smiles, sings with the music, connects with the crowd... etc.

Where was it and when?

Agreed. Also Carl Cox. Sander K was awesome too. I saw Saeed a few weeks ago and he was very Morillo-esque.

carl cox is good as well. really gets involved.

He is totally fab too. I will never forget when I first saw him spin... and at the end he stopped the music and made a heartfelt speech thanking everyone for coming and how much it meant to him. PURE CLASS. I had never seen a DJ do that before.

He is going to be in San Diego May 6... can't wait.

Oh my days, some pure lies in this thread. I can only assume some of you arfe taking the piss.

There can be only one.

Mr Fatboy Slim, each and every time.

James Zabiela

Danny Howells

Lee Burridge

These guys always bring a smile to my face when I see them spin. Always so much energy and fun behind the decks...

Howells and Burridge are pretty animated, as is Morillo...

...but still, none of these guys bounce around or pump their fists in the air as much as Roger. He actually puts is body into turning the knobs on his mixer (which makes me think he's got some seriously hard-to-turn knobs! )

Plus, he does an 8-hour set. And he's better looking than Morillo so you don't mind looking up at him

i would say

Morillo
Fatboy Slim
Zabiela
Cox

all the above seem to be more animated in the fact that they are enjoying themselves

Morillo is definitely a showman - so much so I sometimes wish he'd just play the damn record..

James 'Kangaroo on a pogo stick" Zabiela (now his official moniker according to me) is like a little kid in a candy store when he plays - really love his enthusiasm, and watching his technical know-how is a lesson and a half

Howells - Spend half my time chuckling at his antics - def a high score for him

Fatboy Slim - I think he gets my vote - just really knows how to get the crowd involved and his grin is really infectious!

Darren Emerson - he and his crew were jumping all the DJ booth at one (maybe all?) of the Undewater nights at Bed.

hey nitefly, im assuming you own or at least have seen tiesto's " a day at the office" dvd? ever seen the interview with him on the special features where some dude is walking him round miami?

talk about cringeworthy interview technique. i had to turn it off early it was so embarrasing! i was waiting on him saying "im your biggest fan tiesto, i love you, your a celebrity, i love all celebrities, but strangely enough, i know nothing about you, and my researcher is gonna kick a kick in the bum ya, but i love you"

i wonder if tiesto went for dinner with him like he said he would!

I gotta agree, Norman Cook is one hell of a showman!

But I'd also definately add:

James Zabiela
and who can forget the animal Brandon Block who just goes nuts while he's playing...
