Who started Electronic music?

Well apart from solask :D , Kraftwerk are seen as starting off electronic music in the late 70's earliy 80's. Closely followed by Depeche Mode, Gary Numan and the Human league to name but a few :

Well Vince Clark was a bit of a pioneer when he was with the Mode but he got a bit cheesy in Erasure. :?

Depeche Mode had a fair bit of cheese when they started out,
What about "just cant get enough", and maybe "See You"?

They were a bit cheesy but imo they S**t on erasure. I just cant get enough is an great song, ive been know do play it in the middle of a house set and the crown loves it. I cant say that Oh L'Amour or Sometimes would have the same effect.

But I will agree with you that Depeche Mode didnt really hit their stride till later on in their career

Ya, its a great tune to play at a house party when everyones wasted and glued to their seats, gets everyone up.

The brother played "Blue savannah" by erasure a few months back and it had the same effect, another lump of cheese, but gave a good lift.

I seem to remember Cabaret Voltaire was also around back in the day.

As for DM in the Vince Clark days, "All I want to do is see you again, is that too much to ask for? I just want to see your sweet smile, smiling when you cross the floor." :D
