Who built the old Ibiza town walls and why?

there is also a free, at your own pace, tour of sorts, on the left pathway, inside the walled town. from the harbourm head up the side street to main entrace, then turn lefy (duh!) and take it easym up the steep climb! quite stunnung views on the way up, with history points along the way.

there is a nice cafe on the way back down, on the other side.
