Which side to stay?

I've been reading a lot about the island but im confused on which side to stay.

We are a couple and don't want to be in a really noisy party area.

We are looking at Talamanca area which looks nice.

But we were unsure whether to stay here on somewhere near San Antonio Bay.

Where is nicer, which has nicer beaches. I was thinking maybe San Antonio Bay would be good, for the sunsets, but i wasn't sure if Talamanca had a nicer beach and might be easier to access some clubs.

Anyone got any ideas?

1st week of August we are going.
 
Talamanca is really nice, if you're going in August it's going to be very busy so I'd avoid San An Bay cos there will be lots of families and kids about.

The beach @ Talamanca is nice, some nice restauants there and you can walk to Pacha and El Divino and only a short taxi ride to Space/Bora Bora/DC10.

It's easy enough to get a bus or taxi over to San An for sunsets but from what you've said you're probably better off basing yourself in Talamanca.

Cool, thanks heaps for the advice!

Ok i will look for accomodation here. If you have any suggestions fo hotels in the area let me know, because its the first time I've been and we are coming over from Australia.
