Hi all, bit of background: Visited KM5 in 2007 as group of discerning girls on a Sunday night - out of 5 nights on Ibiza it was the very best night of them all as the mini club was bouncing, saxophonist on form etc...I still think fondly of that night - danced until dawn - and we left all happy and smiley when the sun was coming up - just as Ibiza should be. It was all random and didn't expect it to be so good.
Fastforward 6 years later - Tuesday 25th June 2013 - I've hyped KM5 up so much to a different but still discerning bunch of friends this time for our 30th birthdays (ten of us) and we get there, dressed to kill, have a fabulous meal, spot the SCD winner & hub, but then move into the little club and that's when the night fell flat - there was nobody there it was such a downer, we couldn't even dance or get into the mood - just us and the DJ (or it may have even been a CD) it just wasn't the same as the first time - so quiet - so after a painful hour looking hopeful over our shoulders for dancing crowds to head our way we caught taxis and went home for a relatively quiet night :-(
(The table was booked at 10pm and we had drinks before the restaurant so by the time we went into the club I imagine it was well after midnight... there were people around - the restaurant had good atmosphere, but they seemed to be all sat down).
Hub & I are due in Ibiza July 4th after telling him for the last 7 years how amazing KM5 is and how when we go back I want us to go, if not twice, as its so fabulous...
So my question is - what is the best and busiest night to go?? Maybe I should try a Sunday again - but that was 7 years ago and Ibiza changes... I want to show hub just what he missed out on and back myself up at how amazing this place is!
(Hub is discerning in his music tastes and likes soulful house/Balearic beat etc and would love the sax - the night in 2007 would have been right up his street)...
This will be the 6th time to Ibiza as a couple so we know it well and know what music we like/don't (he would run a mile if someone gave him free tickets to F*** me i'm famous!)
Any expert advice on DJ types and nights to avoid at KM5 is greatly appreciated... (know its still early in the season but their website isn't that informative on what nights do what).
Cheers
Claire
