Where to rent Car in San Antonio

Hello,
at our last stay in Ibiza we reserved a car upfront which we missed this year. Maybe someone has a good advice where in San Antonio we can rent a good (cheap) Car (small one, for example Ford Ka..). Additional I think the best Option would be to receive a Car with full tank and to return full. We are planning to rent the car for 5 -7 days. Maybe someone is actually in Ibiza or has just returned so has any good advice?

I will recommend Moto Luis in San An, located between the 'Lidl' and egg roundabouts, used them at the start of June. They have everything you require, very good service.
You can book here on spotlight,or take a chance and just drop in, but of course it will be busier now....

Moto Luis is probably the best value in San An if they have cars available - 127Euro for 5 days / 153Euro for 7 days.

If you're prepared to go back to the airport to pick a car up you can get one a bit cheaper there (and drop it back there too when you leave saving an airport transfer from, San An) :

For example it is 91Euros for 5 days and 128 Euros for 7 on a full to full fuel policy - collect from the Avis counter in the Airport Terminal :

Thank you. I think we will Check when we arrive First at the airport then and otherwise at Moto L.in San Ant. -4 days to wait....

The prices at the airport are much more if you arrive at the desk without a reservation. Best deal is always to buy online in advance and collect the car with your voucher. Don't forget you need a credit card with enough limit on it to authorize the damage deposit - it can be very high these days ;)

Thanks - we will Check. Maybe we Do it in advance. Hope they will Not only accept VISA. What do you mean with VERY high....?

Between 300 and 1,250 Euros for a smaller car depending on the company - check the quote carefully because you need enough space on your credit card to cover it !

Consider taking out extra insurance to cover this if there is any problem (often tyres, glass, keys etc. are excluded by the car hire company's 'extra insurance' and this policy covers that) - it is very cheap from the company below and is good for excess liability claims up to £3,000 (over 3,300Euros) subject to terms and conditions.

Although the premium is in £ you can take a policy out even if you live in another country. You cannot take this out once the rental has started so it is difficult to arrange cover if you just turn up at the rental desk, but easy to take out on-line if you pre-book :

that's always worries me with damaged deposit. they could easily use it as a scam. very very tiny dent on bonnet. they can charge you 1,000 euros if they want to. you cannot argue with them in their offce as you need to catch your flight home. they knew that and they easily get away with it.

hiring a car in ibiza/spain is totally different in cyprus. which knock my confident down when hiring a car in ibiza. shame

why would they ask for damage deposit if you paying/or have paid for extra insurance?

1. You may damage the car in circumstances which are not covered so you have to pay anyway. Plus for things such as possible extra cleaning (e.g. if someone thows up in the car !!)

2. Every company is different when it comes to getting extra insurance for the excess liability from them rather than buying it separatey .. many additional covers offered by the car hire companies at the desk exclude tyres, glass, keys and underbody of the car from the excess waiver (additional insurance) so the deposit is in case damage is of that type.

3. If you have separate damage excess insurance you have to pay the damage to the car hire company and claim back the cost yourself on your insurance once your claim has been assessed (takes about a month from the company linked above). The insurance pays you back not the car hire company - you must pay the damage up front.

Always ask for a final contract with a breakdown of costs - companies like Hertz/Avis/Europcar etc. have a table of charges they use for various damage so you can get a proper contract/invoice if there is a problem at the time you return the car.

Smaller companies vary - fortunately I don't have extensive experience of putting in damage claims but there have been a few over the years as I rent frequently !

Thanks for the advice for Moto Luis! We reserved now a car for 5 days for 127 Euro. (Fuel/Fiel) . So I think it's a good deal.

Moto Luis was a great choice as we booked an A class and got a D class for only 127 Euro. And the car was quite new from this year.
