Where to propose???

Ive been to ibiza a couple of times before and had the idea like many others before , but im going out in sept and decided to bite the bullet and go ahead and propose to my wonderful girlfriend. Ive had a couple of ideas of where and when , obviously it will need to be at sunset but im not sure of where ive had ideas of by mambo on the rocks, to try and charter a small boat ...etc.

If anyone has some ideas to make it something to remember forever :D

i know, i know . Ive managed to get away with it for 4years but a lot of things have gone on and its the right time. I think me hormones have gone funny?!:lol: :lol:

for sure charter a boat for sunset..champagne in ice bucket..or even double parasail...at sunset and dont let her down until she says yes..:lol:
 
I did think of the parasail as i think that would be quite cool and a little different , with the sunsetting going past mambo with camera flashes going.......:D
 
Where and when is irrelevant - getting down on one knee and asking the question is romantic enough anywhere - you could try renting a private plane and pilot as I did and fly over your favourite places, will cost you maybe £120 for an hour!
 
The plane idea sounds great aswell , and £120 per hour doesnt seem bad, how would i go about sorting something like that out?
 
I made contact with a guy named Bernard through the internet - an advert on Ibiza-online I think, but it was a few years ago and only cost me £60 for the hour. Apparently several guys buy small planes between them and keep up their flying hours and pay for the fuel by taking up tourists for round the island flights - everbody's happy.
 
Stay as far away from Mambo's as you can... this is a once in a lifetime thing (hopefully) you want to do it somewhere quiet, peaceful and romantic, not in front of a load of beer boys clapping when the sun goes down!

Why not venture a bit further round past San An etc, I'm sure there's some beautiful beaches round there that are more remote and quiet so you can propose in peace :lol:

Alternatively what about a boat over to Formentera in the evening, then dinner on a secluded beach, then propose over a glass of champagne as the sun goes down (its a beautiful sunset from there aswell apparantly).
 
Thank you , i think its better to get a female opinion and i do hope i only have to do it the once (you never know she might say NO! , im a little unthoughtful at times). Romance isnt dead

Go for it. I proposed at mambo sun set and it worked a treat.8) I got it on film aswell. Camcorder in one hand ring in the other.

My missus then went about announcing it in every bar we went in and if you get the same reaction we did you'll get lagging boat for nothing aswell.:p:p:p

July of 2005 I got engaged in Ibiza, and I believe it was in the area that you're referring to. If you're at Savannah, looking out into the ocean, to your right, way down there is a rocky area away from the bars. That's where I did it, and she loved it! She thought it was absolutely perfect, and it was plenty quiet down there.

If Mambo isn't to your liking can I suggest Kanya, which is slightly further along the coast. I considered this bar my 'hidden treasure', it's recently been re-furbished, which is why I thought not many people knew about the place. Very modern decor, with a swimming pool..

I met Judge Jules there twice at his Judgement Sunday pre-parties, and literally, there were only a handful of people turning up to see him..which I thought was very strange. Give it a few years and this place could rival mambo's.

Cheers to everyone for repling, as the time gets closer my nerves are getting worse im even becoming nicer at work and at home, which is really weird?. Im still a bit undecided on where to propose as i keep changing my mind. But im now drifting to the idea of somewhere quieter for a more romantic setting... any more ideas welcome i need some inspiration!!!:D
 
Do whatever feels better for you dude. I chose the rocks past Mambos away from all the bods standing about bracing themselves to do the conga at sunset. :lol:

Its a nice natural setting to do it in (cue Des Lynam impression "depending on your current taste and[pause briefly Lynam Style] how you view things at the time of course";)).

Beckiboo's idea sounds good too.
 
My fiance proposed to me on Sera Des Mataret while the sun was setting this June and I couldnt have asked for anywhere better :D

i think ill definatly discount the idea of the burger bar in the west end 8O .
I realy want it special for her as shes always helped me and its the least i can do . And I know that every man says theyll be the luckiest alive but i know that if she says yes everything else will seem insignificant :D .
