Where should I stay??

I'm an ibiza virgin :oops: & need some1 2 lead me by the hand b4 i make a big mistake and ruin my 1st Ibiza experience!

Planning on going first 2 weeks in Sept 08! I have intended on booking San An/San An Bay coz naively I thot this was the MAIN spot 2 b, obviously not! (PDB!!!) Im intending on getting round all the biggest clubs during the 2weeks, but am looking forward 2 the strip, Cafe Mambo etc!

Would it be easier to stay in San An & travel to PBD for big nites out, or vice versa?!

Basically I want to stay in an area NOT chavvy & not too British, handy (enough) to the big clubs, where i can get a few trips to Mambo etc, and where can i dance on a beach? (Bora Bora? Give me the lowdown on it!)

Any help would be NICE!:?

well its a hard one really.depends on your cash flow.jet aptts would be good to stay in at pdb.s/c.lots of people your age stay there.from all over the world.next to beach and bora bora beach bar/space/not far from d c 10 and ibiza town. waterpark.nearer airport so dont pay transfer unless inc in price.not so much full of brits in pdb.

its two buses to san an.takes about an hour if that.see what prices come up for you.and let use know the places that come up

Okay, so this may seem like a stupid question, but what and where is PDB?

I was comparing clubs and kind of trying to get a geography for them, and it seems like most of the clubs that an ibiza virgin (like myself) would want to go to is in Ibiza town or San Rafael.

What does San Antonio have and how far is from Ibiza Town?

Really, where is the best place to stay if you're looking for cheap hotels to have money for nice clubs and bars?

First thing,use this site,everything is here if you dig,look at the maps,look at the locations of the clubs you want to go to. Check the Hotels etc,it's all here,if only to compare with what you already know or find later,it's no good someone giving specific answers because the next answer will more than likely contradict it!...[the never ending SA vs PDB wars] when you have got some idea of what you want to do,ask some more direct questions I'm sure many people here will be able to help...:)

PDB is Playa den Bossa, a beach resort just outside Ibiza town. It doesn't matter if you stay in San An or Ibiza town, they are pretty much equi-distant to all the biggest clubs. San An is younger and cheaper (good for teenagers) Ibiza town is a bit more (okay, a lot more) sophisticated and consequently more expensive. Don't even think about staying in San Rafael, it is close to some of the bigger clubs (Privilege, Amnesia) but it is a little village with little happening apart from a few expensive restaurants.

Ibiza to San in a taxi is around 25 euros.

Okay thanks! Ya, I want to have have money for the clubs, so i dont really wanna spend huge bucks on the hotel! I figure I'm not gonna spend a ton of time in there anyway!

I want to be where ever there's the most happening i.e. the most parties, the most people etc. I figure its my first time, so I'm not really looking for sophistication or a relaxing get away!

Man! Now I'm torn! I totally thought I had it figured out but now I don't know! I get advocacy for both sides of the Island!

decisions decisions decisions!
 
I'm thinking....

I'm gonna stay in San Antonio. The hotels are way cheaper, and it seems like its really easy to find transportation and move about the island to the places that I would want to go. I do want to be around the younger and more international crowd, just cause I love meeting people and would much rather be around peeps my age than a bunch of married with 3 kids type of people!

As of right now, its looking like S.A. but who knows, it could change!!!
 
you will find that san an bay area is just the same.so now we are looking at staying in Club Paraiso...in san an.you will find it full of brits but at night in the west end people from all over the world....
 
I don't really have a problem with a town full of brits, so I guess im safe to go anywhere! lol!

I think I am just gonna stay in san an. and find my way to the clubs i want to go to.

d.rok you will soon make friends.two clubs are in san an anyway.so its only getting to the others.and thats easy.either public buses.taxi.or later the disco buses than run.if you;re on your own.try fiesta hotel group...palmyra/or milord...very nice hotels and you can get a double room for single use.ie you will have more space and a spare bed?...good food v/g hotels..mixed range of people.good thing is you can eat out at another hotel in the group.so when you go to space in pdb...eat at one hotel there.say 8pm then make your way to space....you could even spend the day in pdb...just one thing you cannot sleep over..
