I've heard there are places in town where you can buy tickets, but where?
Does anyone know?

Many of the bars in the port area sell club tickets. Plus those in Figueretas/PDB if you're closer to that area. You'll see the display boards outside.
I also was worried about that before my first trip to Ibiza. But on the island, you will get tickets every 50 meters. As written before, there are billboards before the stores, a lot of restaurants/bars or clothing stores sell tickets, too...
