Where can I get some Helium?!

Funny request I know :lol:

Basically I've bought a balloon for my friends birthday, but didn't realise it's a helium balloon, where can I buy some gas?! Are there helium shops? :? Help! 8O :D
 
flower shops do helium too for some reason. I'm sure someone told me that.

otherwise a party shop of some kind will have no trouble helping you out.

Surely the type of baloon it is depends on what you put into it?

It's not a helium baloon until you put helium into it, surely? Anyway, try hydrogen...it floats better! Much more fun too when you burst them with fags! :twisted:

I am the sole reason O2 stopped supplying helium to the shops for decorative purposes when I inhaled a load and went to serve a customer. The bastard complained! 8O
 
I worked for O2 in St Andrews before mobing to London. Used to ahte it when the big wigs would come in trying to be corporate. As for the person who complained ... I bet he watches Newsnight avidly!!

Becki if you look up baloon shops in the yellow pages you should be able to find somewhere that can do it for you. they can either inflate single balloons for you at the shop, or you can hire a big cylinder overnight for about £60 if you want to do a lot.
