When to fly!

The flight we had planned to get on the way out to ibiza has rocketed in price so we are left with 3 options now. We were planning on coming out on an early flight on a wednesday and arriving at about 10am Wednesday.

1. Pay the inflated price and put up with the fact that we could have got it for a 3rd of the price.

2. Fly out the night before (Tuesday Night) and arrive on wednesday 1am with no accomodation for the night. Although im sure we can leave our luggage at the hotel this means hitting the town and/or clubs when we get there having had no sleep at all and having to wait all morning until we can check in. One of the group will have had work on the tuesday so will be very tired.

3. Fly out on a late night flight on the wednesday and arrive at 1am on the Thursday. Arrive 24 hours later than 2, but this time will have a room booked and shoul be able to arrange to get a late check in. We can then all go and fall into bed and be fresh for thursday morning.

I think 2 would be best as I dont want to miss a day of my holiday. I am paying for a good 8-10 hours at my hotel that I would not get if I chose option 3. Im hardcore enough to last the time but I dont want the others to suffer. There of course is always the option of paying the extortionate price easyJet are now asking for. What do you lot think?

hmmm .... bit of a tough one but i would do no2:roll:

try and get sleep at the airport or on the plane and then be reaedy to go straight out...

if your plane arrives at 1 am its a prob cos you probably wont get out till much later bc of queing for a taxi, sorting your bags, getting ready, going to the club, could end up like 38O

depends what resort your in and which club your going to i suppose

just sleep on the beach the next day!

richy

Yeah I was thinking that plus we are staying in San An Bay to by the time we got there will be much later.
which airport is this from and with who was the low fare with ??
Flying from stansted to ibiza with easyjet. The price was originally £37.99 and is now £74.99!! Was not impressed as it went straight up, no in between. We had to wait for our pay checks to come in before we could book anyway so not a lot we could do before.

£75 for a flight and you think that's expensive? Try getting to Ibiza from Aberdeen.

If you get the cheap flight the night before hire a car on arrival and you'll have somewhere to leave cases etc.

Option 1 - I paid £90 return and the flight times are mid-day meaning I don't lose any valuable time in Ibiza which is worth than money 8) I though £90 was a fair price....

The £75 is one way ;) Total price of my return flights would come to £110

I would still pay £110 Josh, just think of the extra time you will have and less hastle! I think the time we added baggage etc we paid somewhere near £110 :) I know it's along way off from the original cost of the flights but that was REALLY cheap 8)

save yrself any grief and just take this option - it honestly isnt too expensive at 75quid each way
bloody el its more costly to go from glasgow to london on the train!!!

and this is IBIZA :D:D get it booked and have a great time

We're paying £157 return with easyjet from glasgow in
July & thot that was still a bargain. It'll cost between £80 and £120 for our apartments & that was still a good bit cheaper than the best price the travel agents could give us for mid June. Still need to get airport transfer on top of this between four & insurance but that shouldn't be to steep.

I'd say go with option 1 & save urself the hassle, your on holiday.
