ooppppsss didn't read all of the post.....oh well....

April can be a good time to get there, find accomodation and meet people who are getting bars ready for opening etc.

If you can afford it of course.

It depends what type of job you want. If you are looking for bar work then you need to be here around mid April. However, these jobs are harder to find as most of the bar owner/managers give them to people they already know. If you just want to PR then you can leave it later as there is always these types of jobs available.

If I was you I would book a really cheap weeks holiday and then at least you have some accommodation while you look round for a job and somewhere to live.

Do not forget that if you are PRing it is usually commision based so at first you may not be earning much money (as it is quite in resort). So you need to bring as much money as possible with you to live. Also, you will have to put a months deposit down on your accommodation.

Regards

cheers jack...apart from the forums is there any way you can find accomodation when u get there? how easy is it? where do u look etc?

Most of the workers go to a bar called The Ship Inn. They have a big notice board and lots of info is posted here regarding work and places to stay. When you get here and mix with other workers the word on accommodation spreads around.

Thats why I said if you book yourself a cheap holiday at least you can have a look around before you make your decision on accommodation because the price does vary quite a lot.
