whats happening the bay ?ref live entertainment..

just back after 2 weeks at our favourite marina playa aparthotel,4th year and we love it. manageress Theresaa and staff A1 as always,location wise this gotta be one of the best in the bay. we spilt our nights out in the west end with a few nights up the bay, which leads me to the question......where has all the "live " entertainment gone in the bay it now seems very very quiet ! although lots of families about with young kids and babies in prams....how these people entertain themselves at night other than eating and drinkin i dont know, and i think thats why we spent 90% of our nights out in the west end / fountain area.
dont get me wrong i love the bay its peaceful relaxin and beautiful during the day but at night its dead.plenty of eating places but surely a little bit of entertainment would go a long way of keeping people in the bay instead of making their way round to the west end/marina /fountain area......?

san antonio bay..

I guess you only stayed around the funky lizard area, because 5 mintes further on would bring you to bucaneeros,donnegans,pink panther and cafe royal.. every night their is a choice of karaoke, quizzes, live music and top djs..and this summer this area as been very busy.. up until 10pm though most people are in the inclusive hotels,and restaurants, so things dont really get going..until after that..

we sure did venture up the bay as far as peppermint cafe beside klippe apts, donegans dead, do they even have live bands now ?
cafe royal.....what a joke that was.....elvis playin to 25 of us place was like a ghost town,before we left they were advertising kareoke every night on their curved corner hoarding.i remember seeing bee gees tribute band in here one yr.....it was packed !
buccaneros.......18-30 club and not live music,we walked straight past it.
pink panther....great wee party spot !
jesters .....one man band on a few nights.
we love the bay anyway....it just seemed quieter than other yrs.
we will return for a 5th yr,next yr !

Walked past your place Sue, was gona pop in but the girls were keen to get to a place where we had a free bar before Pacha, so dont blame them

It did seem preety quiet down that side of San An but saying that we did walk past after about 10:30 so im guessing like anywhere it doesnt get lively to a faur bit later ?!
