When I started clubbing, in very commercial afternoon clubs for teenagers where your main objective was to touch up chicks or to look for a fight between gangs of kids, my main anthems were tunes like "Lloyd Cole & The Commotions - My Bag", "Information Society - Running", "Gene Loves Jezebel - Desire", "Depeche Mode - I Just Can't Get Enough", "U2 - With or without you", "Simple Minds - Alive And Kicking", "The Alarm - Presence of Love", "Morrissey - Suedehead", "Then Jerico - Big Area", "Broken English - Do You Really Want Me Back", "Living in a Box - (Idem)", "The Ramones - I Wanna Live", "Transvision Vamp - Baby I don't care", "Karen Rich - Hungry Waters", "Umo Detic - Fahrenheit" and more funky songs: Snap, Black Box, C&C Music Factory, and many many others.

What were your tunes of your first clubbing years?

Jinny - Keep Warm, Moby - Go, E-zee Posse - Everything Starts with an E, Last Rhythm - Last Rhythm, Collapse - My Love, Brothers Love Dub - The Mighty Ming, Marshall Jefferson - Move your Body, Orange Lemons - Dreams of Santa Anna, Orbital - Chime, FSoL - Papua New Guinea, N-Joi - Anthem, Inner City - Big Fun, Sunscream - Perfect Motion, Love Decade - Is this a dream, Dream Frequency - Take Me & Feel so Real, Brothers in Rhythm - Such a Good feeling, Neon - Don't mess with this beat, Skin Up - Ivory, Human Resource - Dominator, Rozalla - Everybody's free, Bizarre Inc - Playing with Knives, Shamen - Move any Mountain, Beltram - Energy Flash, SL2 - DJ's take Control, Sub Sub - Aint no Love, The Prodigy - Charlie, K-Klass - Rhythm is a mystery, Robin S - Show me Love, Hooligan X - The Flasher and any Shades of Rhythm.

Some serious tunage going on there!!!!! This covered from when I was 16 to about 20. God I'm old.

Ah, back in the day. Reminds me of running around London listening to pirates like Touchdown. DJs Take Control is still one of the best tunes ever made. But you left We Are IE off the list. And Zero B's Lock-up. Oh yeah, and The Source feat Candi Staton's You Got The Love.

Do you know which now famous DJ was embarassingly named "Decktition" on Touchdown?

Who used to go by the name of Decktition?
