The night will be an experience if anything. As Nitefly said, i thought he'd moved out to the country to get away from the distractions and temptations that where associated with his past!

They do a similar night on Thursdays (Monthly?) called 'Loaded'. The impression I get is that a crew full of Shaun's mates, Bez and Rowetta sometimes included, cram into booth, one of them chucks a 'baggy' soundtrack on and Shaun gets on the mike and mumbles a few old lyrics etc.

He was a nasty little twat at times, but I feel a bit sorry for him.

Did anyone see the documentary on Shaun Ryder on BBC 3 last night, he didn't half look old. I was a bit shocked really.

Saw Shaun Ryder DJ last week at 'Loaded' @ Turnmills. He didn't actually DJ, he just selected tracks to play and someone else put them on. When I was watching him he played three Kinks tracks in a row, and a whole lot of similar material, whilst occasionally shouting something over the top. He basically wasn't great. But Peter Hook, who came on next, was f***ing good, playing everything from Joy Division cover songs to breaks and house, and started off with a bootleg (I guess) of Captain & Tennilles 'Love will keep us together' with Joy Divisions response song 'Love will tear us apart'. A great moment.
