What to do monday? Cocoon?

I'm going to Ibiza for my 3rd time in June, but taking a mate who's never been! So want to take him to some good nights. We have an idea of what night's we will be going to etc, but we are stuck for Monday!

Is Cocoon a good night? Worth going to? How much are tickets usually?

Cocoon is an excellent party but very packed.. you might be lucky in June though. And finding a good spot and possibly staying there all night is key as manouvering back and forth to diffferent rooms is extremely difficult. I find t's one of those places where if you've been a few times you kind of give up and don't bother again but it should be experienced at least once. The problem is as it's becoming more commercial more people are going there just because it's Cocoon and you get people walking round all night so it's very difficult to dance in some areas. Circo Loco in DC10 is another option which is better in my opinion, I usually go there around 4ish and then to cocoon at half 12 but from now on I'll be staying at DC10

Tickets are about 45 euros drinks are pretty expensive too, hope that helps =)
 
I'm going June 15th, so was planning on doing Cocoon on 20th! Will it be less packed this time of year?
 
The only time I've been to Ibiza was in June 1999 I'm not sure Cocoon had started then but God's kitchen and Cream were in Amnesia, we went to the opening parties and they wern't as packed as some of the mid season Cocoon parties I've been to since and as Cocoon is the only party at Amnesia I've been to in the last few years I'm not sure whether others are as busy so it's difficult to make a comparison.. I imagine the Cocoon opening would be like sardine city but not sure what date that is

It's nowhere near as busy in June as it is in July, August, September. It's busy but plenty of space to move.

I went to the opening last year and thought it was perfect, crowd-wise.

The music hasn't been as good the last couple of years in my opinion, so when I go back i'm not going to go before 3am when it starts to really get going.

It'll be interesting to see the line-ups this year. I'm a complete tech-head, but must admit the atmosphere wasn't as good as it has been in the past... The thing that does get me, as the comment says above, it really doesn't get going until 3am, and then its over before you know it. It's all too short...

If I had to choose between the two, then DC10.... but as I said above, you'll get the urge to carry on and go to Cocoon anyway... a lot of people head in that direction after Circo Loco....

The music from 05 - 08 was amazing, I think Sven and co. have went downhill since then mostly playing the underground house that you can hear everywhere else - not saying the music is bad but you need something with a kick in a club like Amnesia so that's why I like to go later on now...

Guys stop complaining about the music....back then it was too minimal, now it's too house, later will be too melodic bla bla bla... Cocoon was one of the first parties on the island that brought the underground house style that now almost everyone plays. So if you want to hear fresh music and possibly what's coming next pay a visit to Cocoon. :p
 
i still like cocoon a lot (apart of the closing party last year), but i am with neilly on this one. i personally loved the sound of cocoon between 2004-2007/08. they had a unique trademark sound during that time IMO which they don't have anymore now. still, monday nights belong to dc10 first and amnesia terrace after that!

Its a really good challenge actually! I think we are just so used to hearing/experiencing the underground everywhere else now..... even in Pacha on a Sunday!

I do miss those minimal days though...
