What is this year's 'Flashdance'?

Hey all,
I know there were lovers and haters of this song last year, like all songs. But there was no denying that this tune was played every night in every club and bar and it did get 90% of the crowd in arms and cheering, smiling and dancing. So my question is what is the tune in Ibiza this year that is being caned everywhere and getting the big reaction?

I know that there are threads of the monthly charts, etc etc, but this is more specific, I feel. Plus it'll help me get the top island tunes here in Canada that much quicker :D

I hear that the "pump up the jam" remix was getting a lot of play??

altho thats 2nd hand I wasnt there this yr :cry:

didnt like it at all when i first heard it in the Uk, on the island it grew on me
 
Wasn't Lola's Theme and Call On Me bigger or at least as big as Flashdance in summer 2004 on the island? ;)

Then came Rocker and Drop The Pressure at the second half of the season and was more played than any other tune on the island at around the end of August 2004.

It could be argued that... but that is not the point of this thread. I'm asking what is this year's equivalent of the tunes you just mentioned?

In a reply to your question (and before being on the island yet) i would have to say that the tune that's being overplayed mostly in Ibiza this summer is Pump Up The Jam (Kurd Maverick Remix) or Deep Dish - Say Hello.
 
So far Say Hello is the leader. I guess it helps that there is a house version in the original and the trance remix by PVD.

definitely Pump the Jam
Blaze & Barbara Tucker - Most Precious Love was also getting a lot of play when I was there.

Say Hello is a favorite so I remember it, but I didn't hear it as much as those two.
 
I have just got back from Ibiza and all i have been hearing is

'Jupiter Ace' - '1000 Years'
'Gadjo' - 'So Many Times'
'Studio B' - 'I like girls'
'Audio Bullys' - 'Shot you down'

and that 'Micheal Jackson' - 'Man in the mirror' remix version song - anyone know who has remixed it????
 
gadjo came out in september of last year, jupiter ace in december...although they are great tracks. Personally....I have to say, my favs are:

Deux- Sun Rising Up

Kris Menace- Discopolis

went there the first week in july, and they just tore the place apart at every club.

pump up the jam...god...that song should have never been reserected

Only in clubs like Es Paradis or at water parties in Amnesia I think!!! Didn't hear any of those tunes at a real clubbing night at Pacha, Space, Privilege, Bora Bora or Amnesia.

I don't know why... but I hear nothing special at all about the remixed Pump Up the Jam. It's pretty bad, to be honest.

its rubbish and sooo amazingly overplayed.
