Heading out to Ibiza at the end of june for the ninth time.I have been in march, june ,july and september,my favorite months being march and june.I feel it gets obsessive, i love mainland spain, but Ibiza to me is just so special.I dont go clubbing so its not that. Can someone tell me why is Ibiza so special

the beautiful scenery/beaches
the mix of so many different people
the amazing resturants and bars
the history of the Island
the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere

Ibiza to me is an inspiration. I love it 8)

this is like asking someone to describe what it feels like to be in love or the pride/joy from being a parent.

for me, the best way to describe it is using the "more than the sum of the parts" theory, in that if you added up every single minute factor that made ibiza special (from the crazy paving in san an to the west end to the sunsets to the beaches to the ancient history to the eivissenc identity to the trannies to the clubs to the food to the climate to the landscapes to the cosmos).............if you added them all up, the total of all those parts still wouldn't come close to representing ibiza.

it is because ibiza has the je ne sais quoi, a true spirituality and mysticism that almost physically touches everyone who visits there. for me it is the eptiome of every literal, metaphorical and ideological concept of an island.

it has a special vibe, ambience, tension, emotional quality that i have experienced no where else.8)8):D:D

I don't know what it is either!

As much as I love the clubbing, I'm out every day doing non-clubbing things as well and I really can't explain it.

The first time I went I went primarily for a clubbing holiday, but find myself going back year after year... If it was just the clubbing i would not to that.

Its a bit of an obsession really...

To me it is like a reunion, wedding, bachelor/bacheloretee, and your birthday party all rolled into one. You can enjoy time with friends old and new.8) 8) 8)

totally agree - me and my fella dont go for the clubbing either so its not that - like you say, you go once and you are bitten, there really is no where like it - we are flying out tonight and i have butterflies already, it really is like going home......
