Hi,

Just after a bit of help, me and 4 mates all mid twenties are looking for a week away in the last week of sept and were thinking of ibiza.

None of us are massive clubbers or into taking drugs, but we do want a fairly lively place with lots of nice bars and good music (not loads of cheesy music)

I went to malia last year and found it a bit chavvy, so am after a bit more of a better mix of people.

Do you think Ibiza is a good place for us ? also would san antonio be the best place to stay.

any advice would be much appreciated.

thanks

You can definitely have a great time in Ibiza even without doing the big club scene. There's loads of beaches, bars, restaurants, etc. to keep you entertained.

I think you'll find the Playa den Boss/Figueretas/Ibiza Town/Talamanca side of the island to be a little more cosmopolitan than San Antonio (though some would argue that is changing as San An gets "regenerated").

Playa den Bossa is my favorite place to stay - only a handful of decent places around for food and drink but convenient to the bars, restaurants and clubs of Ibiza Town. Plus you've got the Bora Bora beach bar/club there, as well as the nightclub Space.

Figueretas is between PdB and Ibiza Town, while Talamanca is over on the other side of the harbor and has it's own beach and more chilled vibe.

I highly recommend reading through the main Ibiza Spotlight site. Loads of great info in there on the various towns and resorts.

The great thing about Ibiza is that there is so much for so many. You really do not need to be getting off your head to enjoy the place. The atmosphere & attitude to life set it apart imo.Having spent a week in Ibiza town earlier this year & having fallen in love with the place I would recommend it to anyone, including my folks who I am imploring to go for the history & restaurants! One thing to consider tho is that most bars in Ibiza town shut at 3am due to pressure from the clubs. This is not the case tho for San An or Playa DB. I say do it!

Ha Ha not at 5am in the morning though!

I think San An would be better for you guys I think - but if you want peace don't get a hotel near the West End or described as Central San An or near the Discos of San An.

Also please research in case you end up in a 18-30´s hotel if you want to stay away from Chavs!

San An offers it all really, you could even spend a few nights chilling down at the Sunset bars...very relaxed. But yeah, don't get a hotel within a 2 min walk of the West End if you want peace.
