I hear the Defected Eivissa '04 compilation is killer, and based on the quality of their previous comps I tend to believe it. Unfortunately, it hasn't shown up yet here in Moscow so I'm planning on picking it up on my way to the island tomorrow

"Great times for gorgeous people" - that was Ricardo Urgell’s simple mission 35 years ago when he welcomed his first guests into the casually luxurious surroundings of Pacha. This Pacha album transports you into the musical landscape the club presents today, a multi-arena experience that remains true to the Balearic experience, offering a journey from Latin to lounge, via jazz, funk, ambient and, of course, that distinct house sound.
Beginning with Andy B and Neneh Cherry, the two represent the Global Room’s hip-hop and R&B sounds. The famed singer turned DJ has become a regular guest following her scene-stealing debut at the club last season. On Disc 2 Kiko Navarro unleashes the quirky Latin, Afro and disco leanings of the Pachacha Room. A fitting soundtrack to the start of the summer season. While bringing it home, is Wally Lopez’s twisted, tribal house soundtrack representing the Main Room for a rousing crescendo.
This huge 3 CD set is earmarked for release June 21 via Stomp / EQ.
