What hours do you work??

I started a new job on Monday in Cardiff (I live in Bristol) and have to be on site at 7.45am meaning I leave the house at 6.30.

Finish at 5.30, home for 7. Now, I don't begrudge working hard but I told my boss yesterday lunchtime that I was popping out for a sandwich and she said 'oh, don't worry we've got BREAD and PAT'E in the fridge'. It only being my second day I didn't want to rock the boat so I ate the dry, rancid snack.

I'm thinking the p1ss is being extracted somewhere along the line. What hours does everyone else work cuz this country seems to get worse with working time.

Basic 9.30 - 5.30 with an hour's lunch break.

My boss is really cool though and if I do wanna leave early or take alonger lunch I can :D
 
I'm always at work even when I'm not. As those saw me switch into business mode at Space (post Pure Pacha) at 10am top sort out a few things over the phone will recall. Having dealt with the situation I did balance it out by talking complete and utter garbage for the following few hours :lol:
 
"Hours determined by the needs of the business" is in my contract


Works both ways - sometimes late into the night and leaving home at before 5am but the odd bit of 'corporate entertainment' is always well received... ;)

Phew! Sounds like the job's working out. I was worried we'd have to go through all that stress again :lol: Car and hair OK? :P
 
I get in about 9.45 and leave about 6 most days. It's pretty flexible - I'm at a meeting 6pm-8pm tonight so will leave early tomorrow.
 
It's easy to moan I suppose but it is a great job and picked up my company car yesterday.

Also, working on construction sites in Cardiff centre has it's perks - some cracking women walking about.

Also plenty of nutters, a 75 year old lady was stabbed to death just around the corner yesterday in Poundstretcher for jumping the queue 8O

Yay I like this job (so far ;) )

Car is fine, no problems there.

Hair could do with a good cut, its a bit like a shaggy mop at the moment. I was debating getting it done this week, but thinking of leaving it til after Wales (the shaggy mop is probably the "in" do at the moment there :lol: )

Perhaps MrMambo will assume honorary Welsh citizenship and send his long haired Cardiff brickies after you!
 
Usually around 8am until 5:30 ish depending on the amount of problems

But permanently on call including every weekend, bank holiday and my own holidays
 
8.30am - 4.30pm with hour & fifteen for lunch. I think that should work out at 33.75 hours a week.
Friday pub lunches sometimes stretch to 2 hours.

Usually 8.30 -5.30pm - I had flexi-time at my last work which was great! Wish I had that again!

Threw away some important information yesterday - oops! Nasty boss is NOT happy! ;)
