What clubs to go to?

Hey everybody, would appreciate your advice on this. I am going to ibiza with a group of mates, some are more into dance music than others, and then others have divergent tastes in Dance music. We're going from 31st of July to 10th August. We're all 24.Personally i like Sasha, Pryda, Jon Digiweed, Mark Knight, Funkagenda that type of stuff, my mates mostly like that stuff too but also would be very interested in Gui Boratto, Luciano ect. I also have a few friends who are totally committed to Deadmau5 :spank:though i reckon radio one week-end could be too jammed. I want to go to places where there is a good party atmosphere, nice chicks, and not too packed as i found Pacha to be last year. Also whats DC10 like, is it something comparable to comfortzone afterhours in toronto:twisted:? Also does everywhere still close at 6 AM?

Also would have a an interest in going to Cream or Tiesto in privilage for Nostalgic reasons. What are the feelings about clubland, defected, and Hed Kandi? Is bora bora still the best daytime party spot?
 
since you go for 10 days i'd try to hit all the big clubs at least once! the most famous nights will be jam-packed for sure though simply because it's peak season!

well if you like your trance for old times sake, then make sure you hit either tiesto at privilege or cream at amnesia - always a winner.

i have never been to comfortzone (because i haven't been to toronto yet) so i can't compare, but dc10 definitely has a buzzing atmosphere and should definitely not be missed! try circoloco on mondays, get there late afternoon, latest 8pm (better before) and enjoy until 2am!
clubs still shut at 6am officially, which means they often play until about 6:45am and then stop the music so everyone is outside by 7am (because that's the rule).

re daytime parties, yes it's still bora bora, but apart of that, this year there are many new or improved options such as la plage and ushuaia (both in playa d'en bossa). then there often are daytime parties happening at a holiday club called punta arabi in the northern part of the island (check our after parties thread for that).

Definitely go to Space, Amnesia, Privilege and DC 10 for clubs,

Daytime parties - Zoo Project, Bora Bora and La Plage (when something is on there) are good. Bora Bora has taken a hammering in recent years - but it's starting to get good again...

Forget about Pacha and Ushuaia - overpriced, overhyped and too pretentious to be enjoyable.
 
Thanks for the advice! i suppose we should concentrate on hitting all of the big clubs so,! Very interested in going to carol cox on the 2nd, Cream on the 4th for eric prydz laidback luke, the radio one week end for deadmau5, We love on the Sunday with 2many djs groove armada and amnesia on the 9th for Eric Prydz and Sasha. I'd say that would be the max amount of big nights i can afford. Budgeting around €1400 for the 10 days. I'll prob end up missing one of the above mentioned ones aswell. Our other partying will be done on the West-end and Bora Bora!

Hey im from Toronto aswell, and i can tell you DC10 is not like comfort zone at all. Comfort zone is alot more sketchy, DC10 is a must go and plays way better music.

Daytime party spots which are alternatives to Bora Bora are many - check out the alternatives to the clubs and gossip threads for album launches and daytime/early evening events at beach clubs and bars all round the island, e.g.

- Nassau/Sands/Plage de l'Elephant/Delano/Sirocco @ Playa d'en Bossa
- KM5 on road to St Josep (eg Deepflight - Paul Lomax & Dre Guazzelli on 2nd August)
- Blue Marlin @ Cala Jondal
- Pura Vida @ Playa Niu Blau
- Sunset Ashram, Kumharas, Atzaro and the like - can be richly rewarding to do your homework and get around a bit.

The new Ushuaia has daytime pool parties 4pm to midnight - heavily discounted on Spotlight well worth buying ahead.

Some great pre-parties in San An and PDB bars too, some of which have a better vibe than the real ones and free bar the price of a drink or two !

Based on what you've said above ... some of the following might keep everyone happy ..

1st August - Circo Loco @ DC10 / Cocoon @ Amnesia back-to-back (before you're too wasted to hack it - got to do it once)

2nd August - Full on Ferry @ Sankeys - free entry with wristband

3rd August - Subliminal @ Pacha

4th August - Sasha (4pm - midnight) fortnightly Never say Never (Gui Boratto is on for the opening and has done a night with Pete Tong earlier in the year but likely will be different guests that night - will always be good !)

.. followed by Cream @ Amnesia or Monza @ Sankeys

5th August - Come Together @ Space

6th August - Hed Kandi @ Es Paradis - to say you've done it if money permits.. much nicer than Eden !

7th August - Cadenza @ Pacha or We Love Space @ Space

8th August - Tiesto @ Privilege

9th August - Tonight @ Amnesia w/Sasha (definitely do this !)

Smaller clubs and bars like Hush and Viva in San An are very useful too when you're fed up of paying crazy drinks prices, want to be around some new DJ talent or can't hack another crush in a big club. At 24 you've likely still got more stamina than I do for back-to-backing big club nights but even then, a bit of contrast and variety makes a more interesting time ?

Like yr taste in music BTW ... with this budget for 10 days, be sure to check in at Viva in the West End ...

Cool thanks for the advice on nights, great selection there I'll show my mates. Yes I'd definately say with our budget we'll have to pick and choose maybe do alternate nights so as to not burn out in pocket and mind!!!Was in Hush last year thought it was good, don't think I hit Viva, is it new this year? Also went to the cala gracio beach party last year, really enjoyed it. On the sunday we arrive I'm tempted by we love but after last year think i'll ease myself into the holiday! Is there any other spots around San Antonio you'd recommend for our nights off the big clubs? I hear it can be free into eden and es paradis some nights but are they any good? Also is there a nightclub beside the roundabout in San An?

Haha! ... I have been to Comfort Zone in Toronto... and no DC10 is absolutely NOT like comfort Zone... DC10 is MUCH better!!
