What are you looking forward to most on Ibiza in 2016?

Here we are again... Winter is out of the way and the 2016 season is about to get going.

Probably like most of the people on this site I've booked up for yet another visit to my favourite little island!

I had the luck of going twice last year but we had just a little Sun in May and a load of Rain when we went in September.

This year I only really have the choice of August or late September, based on the last Seps wash out I've decided to face peak season!

Every year I come back wishing I had done a ton of stuff that I didn't get around to doing.

This time round I aim to do at least this lot:

See Acid Pauli
Go to San An Bay Reagge Beach
Go to Hostel Torres to watch the Sunset
See Jon Sa Trinxa (got engaged on Salinas last year :))
Eat at Khumaras
See Alfredo at Sankeys
See Carl Cox at Space

the list goes on...


What's got you excited and daydreaming for the coming season?
 
That feeling when your drink your first Cana at the hotel bar getting hyped for the first night.

Elrow
Dancing at bora bora til it sunset
 
1. Carl Cox has to be top of the list, been waiting to see him for years
2. Elrow as it was so crazy last year
3. Sunrises on the beach at 7am
4. Experiencing it all with half a group who haven't been before
 
clubbing:
- space closing party
- a few coxy sessions
- selected afterlife dates
- selected thursdays at heart
- selected s+1 dates
- selected circoloco dates
- monday nights at cocoon
- a few things I can't announce just yet...

non-clubbing:
- find the time to go scuba diving
- cliff jumping
- living in flip-flops from may to october
- late late dinners under the stars every now and then

Not a clue what is going on with my spelling but I'm glad you knew what I was on about.

It was a thing last season but come to think of it, it may have been stopped.

Also I haven't seen anything about Acid Sunday's.

I am looking forward to touching down on The Island on Friday 28th May, chucking my case in my room and heading over to Cafe Mambo to watch the sunset with my pals and a few drinks to start off the long weekend.

Clubbing wise its my first time on The Island for the opening party weekend and with Insane, Ushuaia Opening, Space Opening (with a potential 3/4am slip across to Solomun), Circo Loco and Cocoon Opening (and afters) on the agenda I don't think I can go far wrong :D
 
most looking forward to:

the overnight ferry from BCN
the expression on my gf's face when she sees Es Vedra for first time
the expression on my gf's face when she meets a certain other Spotlighter for first time
HYTE and/or Detroit Love (TBC)
smoking doobies whilst listening to music on the rocks
reacquainting myself with Cala Gracio
finding new beaches & driving around in my battered old car
getting right balance between getting banjaxed and actually 'doing stuff'
exploring the North as much as possible and swerving you-know-where at all costs

least looking forward to:

the overnight ferry to BCN
the cost
anticlimaxes after all the hype
halfwit tourists
mosquitos (the IS of the insect world)
Guardia Civil checkpoints

Some hikes to new places in the north
Dinner and lunch with friends who haven't all been together on the island at the same time for some years
Cycling around Formentera for 3 days
Star boats bantz
Hippy markets
Mojitos
Chiringuitos
My birthday
Bar Costa
Chimichurri Buffet
Can Currune
At least one of Los Pasajeros or Can Juanito
Driving around in the hire car listening to music im unlikely to hear much of anywhere else
Meeting new people I'll more than likely never see again
Embarassing myself or offending somebody with my basic but enthusiastic spanish
Finding that Time and Space thing
Sitting on the plane home making a mental list of all the things i didnt do and have to come back amd do next time

Not looking forward to...
Parking anywhere other people are parked
Freaking out about damaging car on beach/country roads
People not appreciating my car music
Mid holiday Wonga emergency
Bouncers
The sheer cost of the two or three nights I'll be out on it
The mad dash to get petrol and return car after spending the last day trying to cram in everything i missed
Leaving to come home again
Feeling like a control freak nudging everyone to go and do the stuff i wanna do despite knowing it'll be worth it
 
Exploring more of the Island
Seeing my Cousin get married
(... and his Stag Do)
Paradise at DC10
Visiting Formentera
Staying in Es Canar, S'Argamassa and Santa Gertrudis
Sundays at Pikes
Carl Cox at Space

With the girlfriend this year, so 'should' do most of the day time stuff!
