Hi,

I'm over from 1st to 5th October, just wanted to know wether the west end will still be busy or not, staying in bossa but wanted to get over to San an one night maybe.

Thanks

I wouldn't count on it. Was pretty quiet this week I thought. Seemed like a lot of places winding down and a few workers I spoke to looking at flights for next week.

No doubt will still be a lot open but wouldn't expect hustle and bustle from 'westenders'

viva closes for good 4th oct...
tuesday 3rd...

This is one of those moments that you never expect to be part of... Things tend to come, and other things to go, but to choose to step away from something that has been such a huge part of my life over the last 11 years is quite another thing entirely...

On Tuesday 3rd October, Viva Ibiza will close its doors for the final time.

What a rollarcoaster the last 11 summers have been and its been an honour and a privilege to have kept the Ibiza worker community drunk and dancing for all that time.

We've had 41 seperate people have Viva! permanently tattoed on their bodies.
We've made the national papers and 'top ten things to do in Ibiza' lists in dance magazines
We've had countless A-list DJ's come and play for free "just because".
We've given new DJ talent a launch pad with no limitations on what they need to play other than 'as long as it's good'.
We've been the meeting place for 1000's upon 1000's of best friends, girlfriends, boyfriends and now lifelong friends.

Most of all though, it has been my home for all of those 11 years and I thank each and every one of the loyal customers and staff that have passed through our doors since that day in May 2007 when they first opened. I sold my house and invested every penny I had to open Viva and I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat.

I also thank Alex for being there with me from day one and look forward to him taking to the decks one last time.

So please, if you are still on the island, come and have one last drink with us and one last dance and one last shot with the staff.

Its been an honour, a pleasure and I am looking forward to what the future may hold.

Nathan.

Event Details:

DJ's to be announced, but expect a who's who of the best DJ's to have played in Viva in recent years.

Drink the bar dry! Every drink, no matter what it is, will range from €1 to €2.50, all night long until the shelves are empty...

Party Starts 10pm until 5am...

End of an era !!!

I was there last week (20-27th) and went a couple of nights. Was really busy for the time of year. Highly doubt they'll be many about after tonight though.

Might go for a last drink. Have stayed away from the West End, just passed by when walking from Cafe Del Mar to Itaca.

Did venture up once, during the day, to the Vape and Juice shop for some juice. So had a quick beer in the Irish pub next to the Scottish pub.

Same day saw a guy totally out of it on the front. Tried to help him out but he wasn’t for having any help. When I picked up his flip flop that had fallen off a bit further back he didn’t seem to understand it was his. Wish I had tried harder but though he looked a little bit aggressive at one point so I gave up. Hope he got wherever he was going safely. If he even knew where he was going. Shame locals, other tourists, esp with families have to see things like that a 3 in the afternoon though.
