As I am tres bored this week at work, its all grinding to a halt, thought I would start this thread....

Fri - boyfriends work do at a local golf club, was a really good night, another excuse to get all dressed up for xmas and eat xmas dinner (my 2nd one so far ) so lots of good fun, his work lot were a really nice crowd, mostly old dears, but you gotta love them.

Sat - attempted to meet an old friend in town for a bit of lunch and drink (what is it with xmas and trying to fit everyone in? :spank:), anyway all the car parks were manic, there was people EVERYWHERE, finally turned up half an hour late but was good to see her and catch up on all the latest gossip, whats been going on etc etc. Sat night stayed in with the bf with a lovely curry, and the X Factor - what a load of old s**te that was, should have known before I started watching it it wasnt going to be worth it.

Sun - bit more xmas shopping, not as manic this time locally in the shops, then had a lazy afternoon trying to download music and failing (stupid Limewire) and watching old re runs of classics like Only Fools and Horses on tv, then had some dinner and went to bed, lovely relaxing evening

fri - went for pizza with tom, ferd and tamsyn, then to kew gardens ice skating which was soooooo funny cos tom and ferd were sooooooooo bad  the last laugh was on me cos i fell over and landed badly on my hand  i thought it was just bruised tho and tamsyn who is nurse didn't think it was broken so came back to ours to put ice on it and have some medicinal wines..........

sat - woke up, arm was agony so went to casualty, got it x-rayed, doctor says it's broken and puts it in a pot and sling  really wanted to go to sasha but arm was painful and couldn't risk getting it knocked  couldn't even drink cos painkillers were making me feel sick  spent sat night drinking herbal tea and watching x factor final

sun - laid on sofa with tom being my full-time carer, it's my right arm so can't do anything :spank:

Ooh. I'll play.

Friday - Late evening at work  but got some Amazon.com Christmas shopping out of the way in the process  Met up with some friends visiting from the States for drinks and a quick bite at Picasso, then on to the 1-year anniversary of Just Another Bar. Everyone well oiled by that point, so we moved on to a new club's soft opening party but arrived too late so we redirected to Rai for what turned out to be a Hed Kandi party with some DJ named Phil Faversham. Lost one group of friends to sleepytime but hooked up with another bunch and headed over to Dyagilev where I finally got in a good bit o' dancin'.

Saturday - No hangover! :D Looks like the last week's pain was an aberration and not the sign of a new susceptibility to post-binge troubles.

Lazy afternoon at home. Took Irina to a new Central Asian restaurant on our block. Food was average but the place was lively with the mood set by a great band playing flamenco music :D (Spanish music, Uzbek food... go figure!). Funny sights included the 200 pound man at a nearby table drinking fruity cocktails (why did this just seem wrong?)

From there went to a friend's Christmas house party complete with midget dressed as Santa  Then headed over to The Most where Phats of Phats & Small was DJing. Most's early set times came in handy as from there I made it to GazGallery just in time for the start of Steve Lawler's set :D :D Great stuff.

Sunday - Watched football all afternoon, first at home then at the sports bar.

I'll join in although it was a bit uneventful.

Friday - Felt like crap all day so just gym and chilled in the evening.

Sat - Up early to get the final christmas shopping out the way, hell on earth in Cambridge although managed to get all done. Evening went to a friends house to discuss NYE Fancy Dress plans, food, mulled wine laced with about 1/2 bottle of brandy ..........tasted great (prob the best mulled wine i've ever tasted) but the wife was a little tipsey come the time we went home!

Sunday - Up at first light for golf, freezing cold but good fun, christmas lunch at my sisters as she's away for the festive period, 2hrs turned into 7hrs with a steady flow of red wine, missed the footy but didn't matter, regular text updates from mates at the pub. Chilled in the evening.

Fri: Was still pissed from Thu night's chrimbly party and then remembered I had to to meet my mate for lunch and then do Christmas shopping - didnt dare drive so did the public transport thingy (must have defo been drunk) Got all the way to the pub and realised I had not brought any cash cards/credit cards with me so mate had to shout me lunch and then I went home thinking "I got out of bed for a bloody sandwich :spank::spank:) .... started shaking around 4pm :lol::lol: decided no more alcohol......

Sat: Went out to friends house for an early christmas party with her and her 5 yr old daughter - absolutely knackering - I really dont know how parents cope with hyper kids at christmas - my head was wrecked from playing games and having to entertain in a non-scaring the child type way.... Went to bed quiet early.....so tired!!

Sun: Christmas shopping with Phil...... gave up after an hour, :spank: Found a pub and drank beer, ate gorgeous burgers/chips and watched Man U stuff Liverpool, got home in time for the Chelsea v Arsenal game...

Soooo looking forward to this week ending and having 2 weeks away from work - I am official knackered!!!! but the only reason for being knackered is due to work - no debaucherous activities for so long - this needs rectifying very soon!!! :?:?

Nothing worthy of report.

Just wanted to say "What bloody bad luck, Barbie". Make sure you milk the situation with your keeper though :) :) Dare I ask what colour pot you have gone for?

Deano, what's with your signature, "Evissa never again"? If you are baby making, there is no finer place on earth than Ibiza for a family holiday.

it's been worth it for the sheer comedy value of tom taking off my nail varnish, doing my hair, putting make-up on me..............:lol::lol:

i think he's thinking i don't remember agreeing to this in my wedding vows

Fri:

went iceskating.. Not the best at it, but at least I didnt fall.. ;) Thanks to Barbie for the hospitality after.

Sat: Sasha at MoS was ok, but not outstanding. He was far better at Cross Central last year. Many of his tracks were very bare, and dare I say minimal!
Also it was a bit too busy for my liking, one of the busiest I've seen ministry in ages.

But will this be the start of a Renaissance residency at MoS???

Thats awful Barbie, when will the cast come off? In time for your hols?

i am back at hospital on fri and hopefully they will take the big pot off and just give me a temporary support thing for thailand (well that's what i'm going to tell them to do )

tbh most ppl have said that when they've fractured a bone that's what's happened to them so fingers xd, otherwise i will be needing a lot of san tropez on my right arm when i get back from thailand
