Weekend Rundowns

My virgin fight at a rundown thread, however it ain't that interesting.....

Friday - Good lady wife was out on the sauce, picked her up and she was well oiled, prior to that gym, domestic bliss and shopping (very surreal experience doing food shopping at 11.30pm and very suprised by the queue tills !)

Saturday - Up bright and early, Xmas shopping marathon and few bits for oneself, food at yippee noddle bar, then home for chilled night in front of the box.

Sunday - Up for xmas round of golf with numerous friends, duelly one the comp (get in!), food and beers then home r&r and mulled wine to finish the evening off!

Fri - met Tom in town after work and then the rest of the gang for TCR drinks and then an excellent Thai at Dim T

Sat - spent all day being a domestic goddess (thankgod for M&S Party foods ) in preparation for our Boxing Party at night. Started off proceedings quite civilised with food and drinks, then things went downhill fast - you know when you're watching Bang Babes on Katie at 9pm that things are going wrong :lol: General minxy behaviour and wrongness til the big fight. Thought Hatton did us proud but Mayweather was just in a different league. Carried on after the fight, eventually passed out at 9am.

Sun - spent the day on the wine and Baileys for medicinal purposes

11:30pm is surreal? That's what I love about Moscow... I've got two 24 hour grocery stores within a 5 minute walk of my apartment & have been shopping at all hours. Weekend morning shopping with the early-to-rise pensioners while on your way home and not entirely sober... that's surreal!

Friday - Saw the group Leningrad in concert. Amazing as usual! Followed that up with drinks at Shanti, then to Gazgolder where headlining DJ Luke Fair had missed his flight but local duo Abelle & Beekeeper were ably holding down the fort. Then to Krysha Mira which was rammed but amazing, followed by a couple of hours at Garage for after-hours.

Saturday - Ouch! Had a massive hangover and couldn't drag myself out to the sports bar as planned, so we tuned in the Chelsea match on only-slighly-blurry Internet TV and ordered Chinese food delivery. Later, headed down to The Most where Depeche Mode's Andy Fletcher was DJing (still hasn't learned to mix ). His set was over by 3 so we headed over to club Opera just as Spotlight's own tea & milk expert Stonebridge was going on. Stopped by the supermarket on the way home for one of the aforementioned surreal morning shopping runs  (needed to make sure there was water and iced tea at home because I knew what was coming next...)

Sunday - 2 massive booze-fueled nights left me in ruins. Hangover from hell. Dragged myself out to an afternoon tea party held by some friends we hadn't seen in ages. Picked up some groceries on the way home, after which I curled up in a ball for the remainder of the evening. Watched Heroes, Bionic Woman and Shrek Christmas special.

Fri - Went home to look after my sis who has a kidney infection.

Sat - Very wrong. Went to old school mates party at Tabernacles. Was great seeing the crew though Tabernacles is simply awful. A little bit of essex in East London. Headed back to mates house for the fight. Big group of friends that had been out to Pacha also turned up so big crowd. Next thing I knew it I was singing "build me up buttercup", it was midday and really time to go home

Sun - Felt sorry for myself. And then had to go to work in the eve to finish of a presentation for today!

Only cos I've never done it before, especially in a supermarket the size of wales , I'm a Saturday shopper with all the masses although I could quite easily turn into a night owl shopper!

Fri: Christmas do at a place I used to work. Fun, and I won £25 of Interflora vouchers.

Sat: Shopping for birthdays and Christmas, also bought some salvia divinorum to play with from a head shop in Leeds. Never tried it before, so me and my mate had a go before we went to the pub... Seems my subconscious is stuck in Disney cartoons from the 40s

Didn't manage to stay up for the boxing (thanks to the beer, not the salvia).

Sun: My twin nephews' birthdays, so went to see them. Tried doing the whole Mentos in Diet Coke thing, but my release method was pathetic so I never got it higher than about 2 foot. 2 bottles wasted.

Back down to Portsmouth in the afternoon.

One time I stumbled into 7th Continent (one of the nearby grocers) at around 5am to get (surprise surprise) some water and iced tea and the people in front of me at the only cashier had 2 full carts   I was cursing them for doing all their shopping at that hour when I really really needed to get home and pass out  (and cursing them even more when I saw the Porsche they were loading the groceries into!)

My weekend was good, here goes:

Fri - had my work xmas party, Ive been here since the summer so was my first one, was really good, really good laugh, most people were plastered even though today I felt like I was the only one due to various stories, but people do love to make you feel bad. After looking at the pics there was many sorry states WORSE then me  Ended up falling asleep on the train which amused 2 of my work colleagues, I had the theory that if I didnt sleep that wine was going to make a not very nice reappearance :lol: finally managed to get home anyway and bed was greatly appreciated.

Sat - up feeling a bit dehydrated (blame there only being wine to drink), out to the shops for a few bits including Secret Santa - left it to the last min as its tomorrow. Then out again with the girls for a long overdue night out, really didnt feel like it and the venue was changed to some c**ppy club in Southend so that wasnt the best start but still managed to have a laugh with the girlies, ended up going to the club though and hating it straight away, just the atmosphere and the tramps in there  so I was hoping we could hold out to go and gatecrash the boys as they were having a lock in to watch the boxing but my friend got wayyyyy too plastered so we ended up going home for 1 and crashing out!

Sun - got up after a nice long sleep, then went for a nice lunch with the boyfriend, well supposedly nice lunch, we ended up going to what I thought was a nice country pub until we were spoken to like s**t by some old frump working there :spank:so we had our drinks and left and ended up going back to his for dinner, chilling out, watching tv, falling asleep etc etc
Nice end to a hectic weekend!

2 weeks till xmas

Can someone explain to me what this 'minxy' behaviour is?!!

Friday - Stayed in with el missus - cooked a fine meal of ostrich stir fry - what a fine meat.

Saturday - Large boys xmas one in town (Manchester) usual haunts in Northern Qtr, long legs:eek::oops:, random China Town place, back to mates, boxing.

Sunday - Got home seven am ish, lay staring at celing till 11.30 . Then folks arrived for lunch. Actually went fine despite being a mess. A cliche but more wine always helps. Rhubard in W Dids. Anyone in Manchester should try this place, 3 courses for 19 quid that kicks Stock/Lounge 10 etc ass!

Monday - Anna just left to go to India for a month very  indeed. All on my lonesome .

Very quiet one for me.

Fri: Went to the gym after work & on the bus on the way home 3 girls (one of which had a baby in her arms) started kicking off big styleee at the driver, lots of "get your knife out Nicole" and kicking of the drivers door . Got home to an empty house & had a big glass of wine & confirmed to myself why its really a good idea to move in January.

Sat: Got woke up at 4:30am to the sounds of Joey crashing through the flat trying to do his "trying to be quiet but actually not". Went over to my Nans & was joined by my Mom & little bro. Had a takeaway at home & had an early night.

Sun: Got woke up again at 2am to the same story of the night before. Did nothing all day sunday apart from grocery shopping & iron & clean etc. Joey slept all afternoon because he has a 'man cold' and he's the only person in the whole world that's ever had one.

This morning i was woken up & ordered to look at his eyes which are apparently all puffy :spank::spank::spank::spank::spank:

Fri: Went to bed at 8pm - ignored all under the counter pharmaceuticals and stuck to Beechams and Benylin.....

Tue: got out of bed and came to work.....

Lots of things happened in the middle apparently, but I wasnt party to any of them..... Although vaguely remember speaking to Gingerfreak in my drug addled head - discussing his drug addled cartoon head :lol::lol::lol:

Fri - Out at the Wolsely restaurant - utterly amazing surroundings and food, can't recommend it enough. I do prefer my SuperRestaurant adventures to be 'funkier' rather than 'posher, though this was pretty much as good as it gets being the latter, so was all good.:D

Sat - Spent the whole day rushing around, didn't have time for a desperately required powernap:spank:, and then spent the evening at Sarah's aforementioned after/before/during party, got dragged into getting thoroughly

Sunday - Wandered 'home', to chill, watch a film and try to eat curry.

Awesome weekend, roll on the next one...
