Anyone have a weekend worth reporting back on??

Mine consisted of going home at lunchtime on Friday feeling crap - and lasted till Sunday - only positive point was I was dog sitting so ended up only having to converse with a daft dog so quite pleasant in that it took no effort on my part at all.....

FRI

a lovely chinese dinner with my missus - had a mixed starter and given that my other half is a slender wee thing, i ended up devouring most of it

back home for beer and big belly time

SAT

footie for the Rangers game, not the best but a good result

Babyshambles at the SECC - usually hate this venue but it was an immense gig
absolutely rammed down the front...carnage
i think i cracked my breastplate in the crush 8O
soaked to the skin but excellent

just bought tickets for them coming back to glasgow in february :D

SUN

my first nephew was born at 3:05 am so was woken up at 5am with a text from my father-in-law telling the good news

so Laura and I went to the hospital to see the bairn and laura's sister & husband.
lovely wee thing - Greig - was awake the whole time we were there and only cried when Lauras dad set off his camera flash in his face!

so now its Uncle Scott (Fun Uncle Scott really )

was ok i suppose!

Friday - after inspecting the now almost finished nursery (need blind, lampshade & furniture which is arriving next friday) went round to sister in laws for pasta dinner and to play with their new bulldog pup.

saturday - put some more stuff in the loft so we could now move back into the main bedroom, upstairs is now virtually finished. then went and bought wifeys xmas present. spent £150 more than I had budgetted for :spank: . Had friends round for dinner, got badly pissed on red wine, got bollocked off the missus for dropping her electric toothbrush into the toilet as I was pissing into it, which In then tried to deny

sunday - took delivery of new fireplace & hearth, will be fitting it next sat then just chilled and watched films all day

Stayed in and tidied all weekend - didn't see a soul. Short trip to the Sunday up market yesterday for some mulled wine.

Very civilised weekend and can't wait to get home to my tidy flat.

Feel like I've earned a good night out now...anything happening this weekend besides Lovebox that I should know about?

Fri - me and Tom had the day off so I renamed it 'Take That Friday' ie I spent all day singing and dancing along to Take That CDs and DVDs, to the point that Tom couldn't wait to get me out the house for some peace and quiet  Got my hair done, late lunch with Tom and then headed to O2 for Take That Part 1  After (a few too many) wines headed into the arena and saw the last song of Sophie Ellis Bextor in preparation for the main event - well the boys didn't disappoint, it was one exploding moment after another and me and Rach properly disgraced ourselves and our behaviour was quite shocking at times :lol: After it finished headed to Turnmills to meet up with Tom and the rest of the gang - Turnmills is very hazy. BT was advertised as playing Live which was the main reason we were going cos his live shows are amazing but instead he played a very average DJ set, the main highlight been Flaming June :? Everyone piled back to ours for lots of very wrong aftershow antics  I must be turning into a lightweight in my old age cos had to go and have a little sleep at 3pm (shocking behaviour  I blame it on the excitement of Take That ).

Sat - got back up at 7pm and drank lots of wine and ate pizza.

Sun - medicinal veggie roasts, Bloody Marys and spritzers.

Mon - Take That again (going to try and be slightly more reserved this time :lol:)

Urgh - steaming poon...loved his first album tho.

You're off to take that again? 8O

It's getting great reviews isn't it? I'm really surprised!

Not as surprised as I was Rob..... I bought tickets for my sis for her christmas box and got one for me too "jumping on the "arent TT looking horny these days" bandwagon.....:lol::lol::lol::lol:

The irony of the whole TT phenomena for me was that I didnt like them first time round because I thought I was too grown up and mature!!!" PMSL :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Friday. Worked 7-3, went to the pub for a few hours at night.

Saturday. Stayed in bed til tea time. Went to The Arches , Roger Sanchez, Sister Bliss, Just Jack & The Cuban Brothers. Cuban Brothers made my night, totally brilliant.

Sunday. Suffered.

Today. Nothing.

Thurs - babysitting niece with my Dad as my brother and Sis in law went out (and my Mum was at Take That - amazing reports!). I thought we did an amazing job, all her minor screaming sessions were in pretty much exact time with Tottenham scoring - I fear she might grow up a gooner! Possibly no begger melter of anyone's heart than to see a littel 'un fast asleep in your arms, complete with gloves and a hat that has ears on! Never ceases to amaze me!

Scott - Congratulations! One of the best things (becoming an uncle, not seeing babyshambles!) that's ever happened to me! i'm going for the "comedy uncle with a hint of style" role

Fri-Sun - Train up to Liverpool for a stag do. Great fun, very friendly locals (much to our surprise!), managed to hook up with Si for a short tour of the local clubland.8);)

Saw a few amazing sights, a few bits of fantastic architecture, and a whole regular magazine entirely devoted to Steve Gerrard, oh, and best site in the world ever ever ever - they actually have a shop that is a dodgy rip-off/copy of Primark!!! Price-mark! I just wish my bloody camera phone worked so I could have got some photos!

Really impressed with the city though. The locals were all amazingly friendly everywhere we went, and couldn't do enough for us. Wholeheartedly recommend the place!:D

Liverpool is ace - you can take your Harry Enfield, dodgy scouse curly mop wigs and comedy 'taches and your "calm down la" impressions and send them back to the 80's where they belong .... or at least come up with some new ones...:lol::lol:

I think its one of the most beautiful cities architecture/museum wise and some cracking shopping.....

Mind you still couldnt live there.....:lol:

I did get on the 1817 from London Euston to LIverpool Lime St, and the first thing that I saw was the amount of twenty-somethings in perms! The accents I was prepared for, but not the perms!

Agreed though, it really is a nice place.

Fri - Started with a few drinks around Shoreditch. Electric Showrooms and Hoxton Bar & Grill. Disco / Funk classics being played which was - night was made by the guy dancing on the stage the whole night who looked exactly like Screech Powers from Saved by the Bell and danced exactly like Carlton on Fresh Prince and didnt have a care in the world!....think the whole dancefloor was cheering him at one point...LEGEND. 8)

Then headed to Trailer Trash which was awesome fun. Best music & crowd in Ldn - so friendly! Finally ended up at Aquarium for Redlight till about 9ish and then everyone came back to mine for a carry on (which included a game of bowls in my living room?!?). Crawled into bed around midday.

Sat - Bit of a house party round a mates in Islington. Were meant to go to the VVWI warehouse party in Shoreditch but somehow it got to 2am when we all realised it wasnt happening. Had a wander past on my home (and a 2min solo boogie ) - looked good!

Sun - Down the lane for Spurs Vs Bham....pure comedy! (am trying to be philosophical)

After my rant on all things great about Liverpool - have decided to accompany my lovely husband on Saturday down to the 'pool - (I believe they are playing Chelsea) so i will opt for the Christmas Shopping / sightseeing option instead - desperately need some clothes too!!

Phil was excited he said - f**k brilliant - car DJ at last!!!!! (he gets bored of his own CD selections - glad i am useful for something!!:lol:

Thursday - Happy Mondays concert. Pretty fun.

Friday - A friend's housewarming party (complete with a complaining famous actress neighbor and a police visit ) followed by The Most where Miguel Migs was DJing 8), followed by a visit to Dyagilev.

Saturday - Long sports bar session watching football, followed by Club XIII for Dubfire :D Returning to the scene of the seminal GU Deep Dish-Moscow session early this decade, Ali not only played way longer than booked, he played way past closing time. 8) By that point, my friend the promoter was too wasted to stand, so I ended up shepherding Dubfire & his 2-man entourage to Garage, where he proceeded to play an impromptu after-hours set. 8) 8)

Sunday - 4-night (including a Wednesday night party) drinking binge caught up with me. Spent the day in bed literally dying.

Fri - had a nice belated birthday chinese with the girls (as they were too lazy and boring to come to my actual birthday which was roller disco and Amsterdam!), was really nice though, lots of laughs, lots of food.

Sat - was told in the week to keep Sat free as I was being taken out for the day but wasnt told where. Anyway half way along in the car to Kent I get told the original plan was the Dickens Christmas they do every year in Rochester but bf said that he had heard it was rubbish, he then tried to book Eurostar tickets to Paris but all were gone so we settled on a road trip to Kent and ended up stopping off at Hever Castle on the way (saw some reindeer ) then went to Tunbridge Wells for a mooch round shops (bit too posh for me) then had some nice dinner. So was a lovely day all round, very thoughtful

Sun - blitzed the shops, did the majority of my christmas shopping - I would have carried on but I had to admit defeat as the bags were straining and hurting my arms  then went home and wrapped it all so feeling rather smug about christmas  just need to get the last few bits. Then had a relaxing afternoon/eve with the telly.

Lovely weekend! Roll on the work xmas party this Fri!

The northern boys visit to london this weekend. Staying on edge of Islington, friday shoreditch. oh b jesus, so provincial to say this I know but really did not feel it. Lots of image obsessed folk, who seemed old enought o know better. Don't get me wrong I like to think about how I look but this is a whole new level! Met possibly the most comically obnoxious man in the world ever. Was just glad to get out of the immediate vicinity. I felt as I was, an office worker, down from the north, not cool enough to cut it there (but was strangely reassured by this also). Then Hoxton bar and grill - much better as expected, people just aving a larf mainly. Then to a place called the castle in mile end? decent craic but a couple of boozed up fools on the pool tables. Late bar tho.

Sat day, out to Camden, loving that locks place. Did a few cliched pubs, did not see doherty or winehouse or borrel smoking smack tablets in the toilets, which was a shame (nb, surely not everyone who I met could have all been personal friends with the cousin of the bloke from the mighty boosh?!) Then to Brixton to see a friend of a friend. Stayed in, Match of the day.

Sunday, Zaika Kensington High street. Indian food of the gods. Have the 20 quid tasting menu, superb value. Couple of pints around there & home.

All in all a mixed bag really.

Top weekend.

Friday - Went to see Altern-8 play a DJ set which consisted of old skool House/Hardcore/Techno/Acid the place was absolutely rocking, it was one of the best atmospheres ive been at in a club this year, unfortunately with todays dull dance music there is a lack of atmosphere whereas with old skool your nearly always guaranteed a top atmosphere, great to see young people getting right into it as well,i was as high as a kite on MDMA Crystal easily the best narcotic around thesedays, ive zero interest in rubbish cocaine or sh*t pills,MDMA Crystal all the way,it's a superb drug, i recommend everyone try it who hasn't already:lol:

Went back to a party in Bray,Co Wicklow where we had the decks set up with a big sound system, i played for 2 hours, my set was strictly old skool in keeping with the spirit of the evening, i mixed up some underground 92 Hardcore with some House and Techno and the Czechs and Polish present loved it,have to say i was enjoying myself that much id forgotten there were other DJ's waiting to to play (too polite to ask their turn:lol:) then i went about chatting to anyone and everyone, took more MDMA,drank Champagne and wine and beer, smoked weed, chatted to lovely Dublin birds 8O yes we couldn't believe it we have came across some elegant stunning Dublin birds who love to party hard, and long story short but 3 of them are coming to London with us for NYE;) Jonny's faith has been restored in Dublin birds after a few disasters, Joanna and Gill & Jo much love xx :p:lol:

Saturday-Was spent drinking all day and lying on a sofa/bed with our lovely new girls talking about anything and everything.

Sunday - Not a bother on me, woke up fresh as a daisy and went to the gym and done some shopping, i'm getting ready for Milano..HAIL,HAIL.:D

Fri - Last minute rush around for sister in laws wedding, aided father of the bride with speech, went to the pub for a few pre wedding drinks and then home to bed for an early night.

Sat - Up at the crack, fried breakie all round, everyone went there seperate ways for hair, make up and getting glammed up for the big day. Got picked up to meet for medicinal drinks at the pub next to the church, arrived at 11 place was already full of saaaaarth and east london, the kent massive and some reprobates from our little town :lol::lol:! Managed to get everyone to the church in time, wedding went off a treat, then 170 people descended back to the pub to give the chelsea and west ham supporters the shock of thier life, pub was packed to the rafters but all well behaved.
Rest of the day went like a dream, god knows how much alchohol was consumed by our table alone let alone everyone else but lots of merryment had by all.

Sunday - Recovered in bed watching fit birds in hollyoaks (not seen this in ages but the talent is always spot on!), took newly crowned husb and wife to airport for there honeymoon, got home watched the xmas lights switch on with mulled wine  (best hair of the dog!) then bumped into father in law who had obviously not stopped drinking from the night before so decided to help him out and go for a couple more beers, then take away and home to bed.

Great weekend!
