Weekend Rundowns

I really enjoyed Erin's Birthday drinks, I feel bad though that we didn't stay longer. A certain person wanted to drag us away earlier than anticipated so apologies that I didn't get to speak to everyone that I wanted to:?
Some good tunes being played too, I tip my hat to the Dj's.

MOS was fine but I never quite feel it's the same clubbing experience of other clubs like Turnmills, I think it's the number of Tourists that makes it feel much more commercial that it perhaps intends to be? Personally I didn't feel Pete Tong's music did much for me, maybe I just want to hear tunes I know since I am not out as much as I used to be and need to get those hands in the air early n the night? Tom Novy was good though as was the Baby Box where I spent most of the night.
Took me 4 hours to drive back from London though which is never what you need to round a weekend off:x

Completely agree about tongy, i thought he'd churn out the big hits but his long set (was it 3 hours?) went down a storm with me. However, one thing annoyed me, that bloody podium right at the front for the dancers. It reminded me of Pacha in ibiza, and it is very distracting.

Thought Tom novy after Tongy was brilliant too. "We love you Ministry, give it up" lol.. we love it when he gets on the mic ;)

I know MrCopperband doesnt agree with me about the music ;)

Someone's reaching out for the bouquet again, i think she has it this time!

Before that it was good to see so many people out for Erins birthday 8)

Wish i'd know you were there, i'd like to have hooked up!!
That Podium was put in for the Dancers, who they'd flown over from Ibiza specially!!

Possibly the most amazing weekend I've had for such a long time!

Thursday - Finally saw the months of careful planning and secrecy (and Rob gave it a bit thought too!) finally come to the point of execution on Thursday - congratulations (for the 15th time!) once again to the happy couple!:D:D:D

Wore a hole in my phone staring at it though :spank:

Friday - Daytime - Took a few inches off my fingertips through frantic emails at work! - developed a typing speed that could do subtitles for John Barnes! In the evening met said happy couple avec my 'Current' for drinks and a lovely meal at Pasha (nothing to do with the club, and you certainly don't get free entry to Pacha London, though they do supply you with a free ash-tray on arrival!) restaurant somewhere near Kensington.

Saturday - The LONGEST day in the world ever! Was up at 6, then proceeded to go into work to pick up a few bits that I had left there on Friday, then went home, changed, went out shopping, then got in around 4pm, frantically ran round sorting music out for the evening, phoning round to check people were going etc, then had to leave EXTRA early as I wanted this Saturday to be the one that I didn't turn up late to!

Got into the pub, said a few hello's, played World In Motion (exclusive DW re-edit ;)) saw the LTL's go home (Last Train Lightweights ;)) blinked once, and the lights came on and were told it was time!

Have no idea where the evening went, can only really remember playing 3 songs all night, and didn't manage to have a conversation with anyone past "so then, how are you?!". I'll put that down to the pains of being on a permanent 5 minute curfew from the decks so apologies to everyone I didn't (or did!) catch up with!

An ace night all round though, thanks to all involved.;):D:D:D

Sunday woke up, licked a few wounds, enquired into whether you can get a group discount on Alcoholics (and various others) Anonymous group, and managed to wake up today as fresh as a daisy! :D

Thursday Erins birthday so I took her out for dinner and Proposed!

Friday Dinner with Daniel to celebrate

Saturday, waited for my little brother to arrive from the north. headed over to the Abbey which was a lot of fun. Good to see so many faces and I think its safe to say that we smashed it! I agree with Dan tho as it was over far too soon. Carried a Drunk but happy fiancée to bed about 2.30am.

Sunday Pub lunch with the Ealing massive and Brother before we put in some serious sofa time.

Fair enough, but i'd rather they put it on at the back like they've done in the past :?:
Its not the dancers as such that annoy me its the people who decide to rush to the front and take out their phone and record it for 10 mins

Next time i head down (which seems to be most weekends these days) I'll give you a shout.:D

Ed, I'm not going to argue with you about Turnmills being my favourite, 8) but i have to hand it to MoS as their line-ups this year have surpassed Mill's overall. I guess we both want slightly different types of music at certain times of the night, at least we both agreed we enjoyed Tom Novy!

ps: Dont blame me for dragging you out, had you got to the Abbey on time you would've been ok ;)

I concur 8)

The funniest bit of the night was when a group of us were sat around chatting and Rob's dad came over and was rumaging in the coats (obviously looking for his own). The thing is, no-one else in but me seemed to know it was Rob's dad and everyone was looking at him as if to say "WTF - what's he doing with our coats?". I just said it's ok it's Rob's dad. Jon replies, "ah that's ok then, he's West Ham":lol::lol: Really made me laugh.

Thank you all VERY VERY much for attending my birthday bash which unexectedly turned out to be an engagement drinks too!! :D

And i had an amazing memorable birthday thanks to all involved.....and to any men out there thinking of getting hitched, the ol' trick of "oh i have to tie my shoe" really works!!! :D:D

Haha, just remembered Erin stacking at the end of the night, and taking a whole table of glasses with her!

Were they these two dancers with massive fake boobs who were pretty sh1t and just jumped around on stage all the time without actually doing any proper dancing?
If so, they were the same ones that were there on Friday on the stage. Just wiggling their bums and pouting a lot whilst all the guys recorded it on their mobiles
