Weekend Rundowns

Well, it's over for me - and has been since Friday night, so I may as well commence this weeks edition.

Friday - Morillo at the warehouse project (Manchester). Had heard mixed things about him and did not get to see him in Pacha. Was very impressed - ok, I hear the people who criticise him for showing off a bit bit etc, but he really does know how to whip a crowd up. Only real complaint was him playing the intro to lets go crazy (dearly beloved etc) ...... and nothing more & then playing I like to move it move it...we like to move it - horrible horrible song, I assume he was being ironic. Finished it of with everything but the girl, which was very nice. Last thing, to many breakdowns, not enough bosh bosh bosh.

Saturday - Bed, rose for the footy - very poor game, I fear for LFC at the mo.

Sunday - Bed - KFC - Bed - Revision. Off to Oxford for an exam tomorrow

Friday - Generic club in Coventry, off to an after party till 9:00 saturday morning.

Saturday - No sleep, watched the Arsenal - Man U game in the pub, went and played pool, home for 11 pm.

Sunday - Woke up at 2:00, watched lovely sunday TV all day.

Friday - Worked 10-6 then was DJing at night. Turned up to find that I had one working 1210 and one working CD deck. And no monitor. Decks were too low, back is still sore.

Saturday - worked 10-6 then went and bought a new car at night.

Sunday - worked 4-12

Monday - meeting at 10 then decorate all day.

BORING. No debauchary at all.

Last weekend I at least got messed up on Saturday night, pulled a sickie on Sunday and booked my self in to a hotel on Sunday afternoon because I had the worst comedown ever, and if my parents would have seen me I'd have been chucked out the house.

Friday, fireworks in Bishops Park, few scoops locally, hammered!!
Saturday, lazy day, watched the Arse get lucky against Utd, then met Mark Knight & a few others for Dinner, then onto Ministry where he was playing Tong's Wonderland!! Jazzy M was smashing it in the Bar when we arrived, good to see him!! MK played a well deep & fairly minimal set, Tong played well!!
All in all, good weekend!!

Friday - Hextatic at the big chill house...amazing night. Like 2manydjs meets coldcut. Loads of really clever halloween themed vjing. Muppet show & gay bar/s-express & aerosmith etc...really inspired and kept us dancing till closing.

Saturday - WENT TO GET A FISH TANK! Me and the Pilchard have decided to have a baby! 8O
It's really trendy looking and sets my living room off a treat.

pm - SECRETSUNDAZE VS FAITH at Cavas! Best night I've ever had in that venue... inspired music, a great crowd, perfect amount of dancing space and (wait for it) air con! 8O
I'm officially going to miss that place now. The perfect evening. Timmy Regisford in Faith was brilliant too.

Sunday - bloody mary recovery day.

Well I had a 3 day weekend where I had Friday off so nice one for me

Fri - me and the bf went up to London for the day so he could buy me some b.day pressies - he said he had no idea what to get me so would prefer it if I could just choose things and he would buy them for me, well I happily obliged  - so we headed to Camden for a mooch round as I love it up there, all the little random shops, got a really nice coat on one of the market stalls, perfect for work and a bargain. Funniest thing about our time in Camden - went to this cosy looking pub, mixture of people in there but not too crowded - we both went to the loo then came back out to when my bf goes to me "have you seen what kind of pub this is, have a look at the pics on the wall" I had a look around and the walls all had framed glossy pics of drag queens on them, was the funniest thing of the day. I really liked the pub was cosy and had a lovely roof terrace, but the food was awful. Typical pub microwaved food. So that was a bit of a let down. Anyway after that we headed to Covent Garden for more shopping, then strolled to Oxford St (saw loads of nice restaurants in Soho on the way) then ended up the trip with a visit to Topshop, as much as I love shopping the place just scares me in the end, I just dont know where to look  After finishing in there we were knackered so back on the train home and finished the night with a curry before crashing out before 11!

Sat - got my last bits for Roller Disco this Friday (b.day event) bought a punky neon wig but think I am going to go with my original plan of crimping my hair for some proper 80s action . Went with a friend to see some fireworks in eve, but bit of a let down really, still fun night out all the same.

Sun - Body pump in the morning, bit of food shopping. Then stressed myself out trying to organise a minibus for Friday.............then relaxed all afternoon in front of the telly, then to a lovely italian in the evening for a friend in the familys 18th birthday - well and truly stuffed by the end of it!

In a nutshell - nothing happened....

Could have been....

Fri: PvD
Sat: 2manyDJ's
Sun: Recover

but then I realised I have my big boss up from London later today and all tomorrow so figured it would be detrimental to my career to cane it all weekend.... God I really am getting sensible these days..... :?:?:?:?

You skipped 2manyDJs, Pups? What were you thinking?! :!:

3-day weekend for us as today is a holiday.

Friday - Goodbye party for an English friend who is moving to Kiev. Got to tease him a bit about his beloved Leicester City and their near-upset mid-week.

Saturday - SportLand for football, then out for a very drunken and somewhat overpriced dinner with friends at an Indian fusion restaurant. Back home to drop off the missus and got caught up in a couple of hours of a very good 80s music playlist put on shuffle. Finally popped out to Solyanka where Mr Oizo was the guest DJ (Flatbeat played at 4am sharp ). Carry-out sushi for breakfast on the way home.

Sunday - Woke up mid-afternoon, made a big pot of Irish stew, took a nap, then went to Mio where Michael Mayer (label boss at Kompakt, which you techo-heads will recognize) who played a very good set of techo and deep house.

Monday - Got up at lunchtime... hope to do a little straightening up around the house today.

Yeah - not one of my better decisions like..... AND I had a face like a slapped arse yesterday too, might as well have gone and had a reason to feel like crap...:lol::lol::lol:

thurs - sun

flew to Holland to visit Laura's relatives there.
good fun seeing everyone again
nothing major done, just pottered about the local towns
plenty of heineken & pool & darts

:D

Fri - Christmas shopping, then was a good wifey and went to GBK with Tom :spank:

Sat - up sooooooo early and was in town before 9am for a marathon shopping spree - all Christmas shopping done :lol: At night headed out to deepest darkest Kentish Town for Erin's 30th birthday bash - great to see lots of people out for it and the legnedary DJ duo that is PB and 8DD were on top form

Sun - bloody Marys, wines and huuuugggeeeee veggie roasts in the pub - proper FLS day

Friday - went to Ministry with a girly friend for a Back to 95 old skool garage event :D Really good night and no trouble at all, despite the crowd being full of gangsta-types! Great to hear some back-in-the-day tunes from when I first started going out.

Saturday - Lounged around in bed all day feeling tired then nipped up to Kentish Town for Erin's birthday bash, had a few wines then caught the last train home.

Sunday - Had a roast round my mum's, saw my granny, then had an evening in watching ghost, eating pizza and crying lol

:lol::lol: Even Tom finally admitted that there is some method in my madness cos it's all done now and he doesn't have to think about Christmas again til it's actually here

I swear I couldnt get Phil into town in Nov unless his life depended on it - he's a definite last minute kind of guy - weekend before Christmas 20th/21st is his "earliest" he will go shopping :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

:lol:But it's soooo stressful then  BS Tom used to be a Christmas Eve shopper but he's seen the light  The shops were so lovely and quiet and stressfree on Saturday morning cos obviously any sane person wouldn't be doing their Christmas shopping at 9am on a Saturday morning at the start of November :?

Oh I agree wholeheartedly, however, Phil cant see the point as shopping at any time of the year leaves him so stressed its untrue - I HATE going shopping with Phil.....:spank:

You have made me think about starting mine at the w/e now....:lol::lol:

Fri - Travelled up to a friend in Stamford for food and wine, ended up getting quite trashed although tiredness didn't help that as had a nightmare week at work, funny part of the night was my friend getting caught on CCTV helping himself to drinks from the bar but in fairness the stupid owners left the bar vacant for ages and we were thirtsy :lol:.........!

Sat - Travelled back for united v arsenal, I'll take the result although we threw it away at the end.....was meant to be a couple of beers, ended up being an afternoon/evening of beers and the finest marching powder we could get.......very very long day but good fun had by all!

Sun - Got up, felt very tender all day, did domestic bliss, shopping and cooked a nice roast pork fillet, watch top gear, long way down (great programme) and MOTD 2 before I crashed.

Woke up this morning feeling quite spritely considering, not looking forward to a mental week at work plus knowing I've got another 2 marathon weekenders coming up isn't helping my cause.

Long way down is brilliant - I am hooked on it... 8)

Completely agree about tongy, i thought he'd churn out the big hits but his long set (was it 3 hours?) went down a storm with me. However, one thing annoyed me, that bloody podium right at the front for the dancers. It reminded me of Pacha in ibiza, and it is very distracting.

Thought Tom novy after Tongy was brilliant too. "We love you Ministry, give it up" lol.. we love it when he gets on the mic ;)

I know MrCopperband doesnt agree with me about the music ;)

Someone's reaching out for the bouquet again, i think she has it this time!
