Weekend rundowns

As its Sunday night and I am bored at home I thought I would start this one off

Fri - out in Southend for my best mates b.day, took her and the rest of the gang to this nice funky bar that serves delish cocktails, really good atmosphere in there too not full of chavs or kids or anything. Got her very trashed, was all good fun, then ended up in a club that was "indie and party anthems" bit of a strange mixture of music but all fun all the same!

Sat - feeling very sorry for myself, moped about at home, had a haircut, then up to Maidstone for the night with my mate. One of our other friends lives up there so we took a trip up to see her. Always fun going out in a different town I find, lots of mischief caused, lots of drinking again, all in all a good night. And I got to sleep in a kiddies room, very amusing  My friend also had the biggest dog in the world I have ever seen, was a newfoundland, size of a small pony but looked like a big bear!

Sun - again feeling very tired and sorry for myself, drove home, stopped at Lakeside on the way home for more holiday bits. Now just ready to chill out in my PJs watching the sunday telly.

All in all a great weekend!

If you don't post photos, we're gonna have a big fall out Emma. A bigger fallout than than when you and Thelak split up, if you can imagine that!

Was it busy? I thought the rain might have scared people off?

sat night, had a few beers at The Abbey (recommended kids) - then took a Buckleycab down to KOKO for some Sanchez action. gorgeous venue, but whole release yourself vibe wasnt anything near as good as Turnmills.

left at 6am, and wish id stayed sober and driven in... £20 'cab' to Liverpool St... only to be sat there on the floor for an hour and half waiting for the tubes to start running. :spank:

Fri: watched the Glastonbury movie on an outside screen on the south bank. perfect place to see a great movie. it really captured the feel of the festival with great music and weird vibes and naked hippies. felt a tiny bit jealous of peeps off to worthy farm this week.

Sat: also moped around most of the day. watched one of the best episodes of Dr Who eva (am i the only one to think that this series has been absoulutely brilliant, i am SO glad that the Master is back - and a little concerned for the Doctor)

Sun: got up early and went for a beer for breakfast with el Buckeroo at his kikkin afterparty. nice to see to stu too.

buy the way: watch out for my weekend rundown next week kidz (im going to you-know-where)

sat - my cousin (who i basically grew up with as a kid) got married. i love family weddings. suddenly all the cheesy/clichéd stuff becomes so much more poignant and meaningful. great food, great music, great fireworks, just a fcukin awesome day. one of the best of my life easily.:D :D :D :D

sun - watched the footy:cry:

Got there about 4pm armed with a brolly, obviously had been raining earlier!! Main queue was huge to get in, thankfully had Guest List, no queue, strolled in no probs!! Guest area was quiet, but that certainly changed later!! The 2nd tent with Calvin Harris was mobbed, and they stopped letting folks in, as they did for Digitalism, who were forking excellent!! 1730 the tent went off, hands in the air stylee, they rock!! Main Stage was well busy for Daft Punk, who were ace, was a bit too close, and if you didn't jump around, you got trampled on!!

Cracking day!!

I did wonder how you were getting home when quite a few afterparty originally claimed to be only staying until 8 when the trains started. Naturally, some of them were still with us at 2!

mate, wasnt even funny... as soon as i left KOKO, the bed instinct kicked in.

if id gone to afters, you'd now be posting pics up of me sleeping by the beer barrels.

fri - stayed round the missus house and chose which events to book tickets for in ibiza...only 4 days now!! :D basically quite a boring night and couldnt sleep until half 3 in the morning, and no not for the reasons your thinking haha.

sat - woke up at bout 9 then went to town to get money changed up :D, went round my mates house and then chilled out playing a bit of ps2.

sun - went back to mine, went to see step dad and gave him his present. Then i went to Rock In The Park - Stevenage, thought it would be fcukin awful but was actually an amazing day, consumed loads of alcohol and then hit jumpin jaks for a bit of cheesiness afterwards haha. Had a bit too much, argued with my friend over some crap and walked home in the rain. Got in and just crashed out, pure hangover this morning  .

Friday: up very very very early, we were in the airport at 5 to go on board at 6 and to arrive to Ibiza at the indecent hour of 7. We drop our bags in the hotel and went to pick up the bike we rented. The plan was hitting the beach but it was cloudy and grey so we had a long walk around Ibiza town, a nice breakfast at the croisant show and did some shopping. At midday we were back to the hotel for the check in and a siesta (before lunch!), we grab something to eat and we then went straight to Cala d'Hort for few gorgeous hours in the beach. Pep wanted to take few pics of Dalt Vila at the sunset so after beach we got back to Ibiza Town, had something to eat and get back to the hotel for a teletubbie bed time.

Saturday: We woke up feeling great and new, got the bike back to the shop and we were ready to hit the beach by 10. We were meant to meet Morbyd near Bora Bora so we decided to spend there the next hours. I have to say that I always tend to run away from Platja d'en Bossa and specially that area of the beach, but t was early enough to not have the music pumping in my head and we had lots of fun just watching the people going by (and Pep taking endless pics, of course:lol: ). At midday we finally met Morbyd and Irina, which was a pleasure. it was a bit short cos they were a bit late and we were in the hurry but it was a very nice chat up and I could add another face to a name :D After that we had to run to the hotel to get ready for the big thing. Pep was the photographer and he wanted to be at the happy couple’s apartment when the hairdresser was there, so we arrived around 3 and we had a really peaceful, relaxed and enjoyable hour and half with Sarah and Tom to chat up a bit before the wedding :D .
Well, about the wedding, it was really emotional and the guy were amazing and the ceremony full of sense and mystic. Then we had a lovely cava cocktail (does anybody know how the guy open the bottles? ALL seemed broken 8O ) and a yummy dinner after the speeches, special mention to the best man’s one, which was brilliant. After dinner, drinks and general silliness till 2 and back to PDB in the mini buses. At this point, I was so exhausted after 12 hours speaking English that I wasn’t able to say more than two words in a row, and Pep was more tired than me. We did a bit of a run away, so sorry to anyone I wasn’t able to say bye, was very rude from us   but our heads were going to explode if we heard just one more word in English

Sunday: we wake up on time to pack and checkout and we headed to Passion where we expected to find the wedding contingent but never arrived. But instead we had the so great surprise of having breakfast with Robder and Nick, which made me really really happy :D :D From Passion, we took a cab to the airport and back to grey Barcelona.

I would like to thank Sarah and Tom for sharing their Day B with us, it’s funny how you can feel so attached to someone who lives in the other side of the continent and who you see from time to time I think there's no need to add anything else, you both already know how we feel about you! ;)
Thanks to everyone else, Iit was great to see all the friendly faces and introduce Pep to all of you. Topics says that Spanish are warm and English are cold but you lot make that topic look silly, every time I meet you I am surprised how warm and friendly you are!
I was looking forward to add some new faces, specially I wanted to check by myself if the legend about Dan X is real and yes, definitely, Dan is totally opposite to his alter-ego X and was a real pleasure to chat up with you a bit (thanks for the positive –useless- energy about footy, mate ;) ).
I would also mention Copperband, who had endless patience with Pep after the dinner and spent the rest of the night with him. Well, Pep’s English is not as bad as I pretended  (I’m actually very proud of him) but he is not fluent and after so many hours it was getting slower and slower but Ed’s patience never seemed to decrease.

Big fat thanks to everyone for all the laughs and smiles. :D :D :D :D
Next year this time, you should move on and swap Ibiza for Sonar.
You all know it makes sense 8)
