Fri - tired after being out every night in the week so nice dinner, bottle of wine and an early night cos me and Tom both had busy wkends ahead of us.

Sat - up early to get ready for the Eric Prydz daytime warehouse party, Tom was going on his work Christmas do to Spain, just as I'm about to leave at 10.30am Tom (who still wasn't dressed or packed) goes to me 'funk it, I can't be ar$ed to go all the way to Marbella for a night to drink champagne and take coke, book me a Eric Prydz ticket instead' so he called his ex-boss made his excuses and came to meet me, Rach, Alun and Jamie for pre-warehouse drinks. Got into the warehouse soon after 2pm - what an amazing venue and soon after the place started filling up nicely and the DJ (no idea who was playing cos we were just there to see our lover Eric  ) was playing lots of old classics which went down a treat. By mid-afternoon the place was full and the music was brilliant (again no idea who was playing  ) as we waited for the main man who was on at 7.30pm. Mr C played before Eric and was ok but was a bit down tempo from what we'd had and what was coming up. Anyway at 7pm me and Rach assume stalking duties and Eric came on at 7.30pm on the dot, complete with his trademark woolly hat  Eric was abolutely superb, I love this man so much - in fact me and Rach are going to go and live in Sweden and marry him  And I'm sure he appreciated mine and Rach's stalking efforts, altho as the boys said he was probably thinking 'mmm aren't those Gollums and She-boggle attractive with their big 'fros'  As this was a daytime event it was an early finish at 9pm so we hung around for a bit, got jackets and then everyone came back to ours. We have the theory that daytime clubbing is the way forward cos you can get back, carry on for a bit but then still got a normal nights sleep. Back to ours for the usual carry on antics, still going strong at 6am (but it's all relative and if we'd gone out Saturday night we wouldn't have even left the club yet :? ), carried on and it's now midday (mmm this sleep theory doesn't appear to be working), now it's Sunday afternoon so we may as well watch the football  finally get to bed at 7pm and we realise that even if we go out earlier the only purpose it serves to do is make the session even longer

My weekend started on tuesday, amazing game at Camp Nou and drinks at 52 afterwards.
Wednesday to sunday, we stayed at my family's countryhouse and it was all about X-mas shopping in nearby Girona, eating, drinking, smoking and sleeping. 8)

Friday: Office xmas do at an absolutely lovely pub outside of oxford called the talk house, which apparently is one of marco pierre white's ventures. Had a very drunken evening indeed which ended up at one of oxfords cheesy clubs :?

Saturday: Woke up late, nursed hangover, tried to recall embarrasing things I did on Friday (was actually surprisingly good 8O )

Watched a tonne of family guy then fell asleep on the sofa, waking up just in time for a friends birthday dinner, which was a big surprise for him as his boyfriend had organised it all without him knowing, including getting loads of friends up from back home to come. Was lovely, followed it up by heading to a masquerade house party which was full of people with the worst teeth I'd ever seen :? and a flatulent lady called heather. Overall quite odd :? but fun:lol:

Sunday: Not much, saw a few friends for coffee, dinner out in town, planet earth.

Got completely messed up at the work Christmas do - crossed more boundaries than ever before and am now cowering at my desk waiting to be frog marched out of the building.

(or maybe that's a tad dramatic)

Went out in Leicester Sq for the first time in my life on Sat - it was full of monsters. 8O

Sunday - saw Pan's Labyrinth...such an amazing film on all sorts of levels. Fantastic. Go, go, go! 8O

Thursday - Sisters of Mercy concert 8) Funny crowd - a mix of 30-somethings like me reliving our childhood, together with more gothic kids than I ever knew lived in Russia  Great tunes, with Dominion/Mother Russia going over especially well with the crowd. Only downside was bad sound mixing.

Friday - After work, attended holiday party thrown by my former colleagues. Great to see the old gang. Then home to grab the missus and off to Club 1171 for a Pacha-themed party headlined by Sarah Main. She was aweful... like Pete Tong on a bad day. We kind of had to go as the promoter and warm-up DJs are friends, but I really wish we'd gone to a different party with Jeff Mills (though we heard the crowd there was light as it was in a new club that hasn't caught on yet).

Saturday - Lazy afternoon at home (got caught up on the Daily Show and Colbert Report). Then out for a very fancy dinner at a restaurant called Bon that was designed by Phillip Stark. After-dinner drinks at Bar 7 and called it a relatively early night around 2:30.

Sunday - Another lazy afternoon at home. Went to the sports bar for Chelsea v Arsenal. Came come and watched a couple of movies (The Omen, Miami Vice)

Very chilled one for me...Wohoo no bags under my eyes for the first time in Months!

Fri- Still recovering after the carnage of the work xmas party the night before (held at the emirates stadium which was nice but also painful as a spurs fan) with arms aching from doing the funky chicken so vigourously so had a few post work bevvies to recount the night before and then home

Sat- Early start flat hunting. Was in Shoreditch looking for flats and got tempted to make a last min diversion to the Eric Prydz w/house party but resisted and went to some more viewings. Went for a nice dinner in the eve with a lady friend.

Sun- Chilled..went to a mates Bday dinner in the eve which was essentially a meal at our local curry house

friday was quiet, in preperation for a long drive on saturday. came home and relaxed a bit and then went out and got in at 8. slept all day sunday, ripped some carpet in the afternoon and spent last night thumping out some ridiculous beats on ableton.

fri - quite nite in

sat - footie, good for a change, few wee drinkies along the way, quiet nite in

sun - weekly big shop, was going to look at getting a real Xmas tree but the weather put paid to that. Babyshambles @ the Carling Academy - amazing gig. Pete Doherty was on top form, they rattled through plenty of songs (probably on stage for about an hour and a half)

Fri - Put our tree up. eeeekkkkk.
Sat - Night in with take away and X factor
Sun - All day sesh at the Westbourne for mates birthday.
Today - Christmas shopping, cocktails and sushi lunch. 8)

Sunday, did a bit of x-country skiing near my place... and put up my tree...

Next weekend i have 4 parties to go to, so I will be making up for lost time then :)

Fri - was dragged to Tots, luckily the free drinks and company of my school friend who has not been out for 9 months due to babies made up for it 8O

Sat - stinking cold, went to Enfield for evening

Sun - stinking cold still here, and a bit of xmas shopping and a bit of wrapping up presents

Still feeling wretched today, not good before xmas

Type was excellent on saturday. Tom Novy and Seb Fontaine were the main highlights. Plus it wasnt rammed either.

Put me in the mood for Type on NYE!!

Fri: Nice day off work, did a bit Christmas shopping, and got the supplies in for Sat night, then sent Phil off on his Christmas Party at 1.00pm. Had a girly night in with mate where we ate copius amounts of Tapas and drank loads of wine. Phil rolled in around 11.00pm worse for wear so I made him sample some of the merchandise – Bouncy Phil then appeared!!

Sat: Up early to tidy up for Gingerfreak’s visit, then off into town where I just happened to see a gorgeous pair of jeans and a new top for the evening’s visit to Sacha. Met a couple of mates in town where we decided to face the throngs of shoppers a nice glass of wine wouldn’t go amiss. Home to an early sensible dinner of Steak, Chips, Mushrooms and Onion rings…… a very good idea considering the carnage which was to ensue.

Started quite early on to get into a silly mood – very excited to see Sacha perform again, but the more we got into daft mode, the worse Phil’s hangover started to get, we took pity on him and headed off at 10.30pm. Decided to stop off for more drinks before the club but it was a nightmare due to the throngs of Christmas party revellers in reindeer antlers, flashing santa hats and other dubious items of Christmas tack.:spank:

Got into the club where it was heaving and the crowd were really bizarre – everyone crushed up to the front eagerly anticipating Sacha’s set (which was never gonna happen before 1.00am!!) no one dancing to the residents – and I have to say Scott was playing a blinding set.

Now the eagerly awaited Sacha enters the DJ booth and starts to play his set. At this point the best little fellas I have had in ages were really getting going – my face was so sore off smiling and grinning like a loon and I suddenly realised the music was doing funk all for me, Gingerfreak neither, we looked around the dancefloor, everyone was trying to dance but getting nothing back from the set being played which consisted of 15min intro’s into nothing basically, after 40 mins we decided this was the dullest set ever experienced by a top end DJ…… the crowd where just sort of moving up and down but nothing worth throwing some shapes too, bitterly disappointed, so we went off for a sit down and a drink. After 10 mins of listening to dull music we headed off upstairs to the other room. This is where the night got unbelievable brilliant. For 3 ½ hours we danced our arses off, I can honestly say that I have never been that amazed by a DJ, his set, his whole demeanor and being amongst a crowd totally losing it track after track after track in such a long time, after an hour I calmed down enough to go and find out who he was – Switch, I cannot tell you guys how utterly brilliant this guy was, the whole room was so far into the realms of ecstacy I cant get it across in a review… oh my God, think Parliament, think Funkadelic, think George Clinton over filthy dirty basslines – amazing I am in love with the guy – even the bar staff were throwing themselves all over behind the bar and no one gave a stuff that they couldn’t get a drink!!

Sun: a right off – newspapers, Dandelion and Burdock and sweets.

Mon: Recovering at home and now realise I possibly need a hip and knee replacement for Christmas. :? :? :?

Conclusion: RIP Sacha - Long live the new king Switch!!!!!

That's so strange re Sasha, people who saw him at the Manchester Warehouse Party on Friday night said he was unbelievable, as good as he ever was in his prime. I hope he plays a Manchester :? set this coming Saturday and not a Newcastle set

I hope so too for you - maybe he was tired and emotional from the set the night before, maybe I have grown out of Sacha, maybe the Smurfs werent conducive to his set I really dont know but I have to say I was pretty pissed off - when we were leaving for the coats we caught the last of his set and I swear we were convinced he was still playing the same track as when we left to go upstairs 3 1/2 hours ago and the crowd were still pretty much in the same frame of mind for me, he was more Airdrawndagger than GU or Involver but hey ho - the night was saved by Switch so its not all bad...:D

Let's hope he sorts himself out for next Saturday
