Fri - few drinks and an early night

Sat - up early to get the 'fro pinked, then me and Tom went to Notting Hill, had a look round Portobello and then met up with the lovely Croftys. Had a few drinks with them in Bed bar and were joined by Jamie. Tom kept frantically checking t'internet on his phone to get Chelsea score and after 15 mins they were 1-0 down - uh-oh :? Anyway at full time Tom's phone is still saying 1-0 so I realise I am going to have to assume sympathetic g/friend duties :? We leave the bar about 6ish and all of a sudden Tom's phone updates (he can't have got signal in the bar) and he suddenly realises he's not looking at a 1-0 loss but a 5-1 victory, talk about a happy b/friend

Went and got a thai in Notting Hill, then me, Tom, Jamie headed back to ours for pre-Fu*k me I'm famous drinks. After about an hour poor Tom starts proper throwing up  (and Tom is never sick, in 6+ years of knowing him he's been sick once), then I started to feel sick. It was touch and go whether we'd make it out but we were banking on the medicinal powers of class as ;)

Got to Ministry about midnight and it was already completely rammed and for the first time in all the years I've been there, VIP wasn't open cos the one who iz worth it wanted the whole room closed for his entourage  so we had to slum it with the civillians  Very strange crowd as well, Tom summed it up as a Defected crowd, I felt like saying 'funk off to Pacha et al where you look like you belong'

Anyway it was time to assume normal podium duties in the Box. Bob Sinclar played first, much much better than I've ever seen him, none of that latino bingo bango bongo stuff that he's often so partial to and the Box was proper going off. Me and Tom still both didn't feel great and Jamie was feeling a bit off as well (we have since realised that it was probably something we ate in the thai  ) but being the troopers we are we ploughed on  The man who iz worth it came on at 4 and again the music was blinding but it got to 5.15 and me and Tom were both still suffering and had been sick so we ended up leaving (and when do I ever leave Ministry before the last tune is played 8O )

Great to see Morbyd and Irina and Naddyz and Ferd (altho Ferd I think you jinx my nights, that's 2xs you've been to Ministry and I haven't felt well   ;) ) thru the haze of poppers 8O

Got home, me and Tom were both still rough so spent most of the day curled up on the sofa under the duvet, I was too ill to even drink wine which is a first 8O

So really enjoyed Fu*k me I'm Famous at its new home, just wish I'd been on top form to enjoy it properly.

My Sat night was v v bad!!!!!

I stood chewing this lads ear off all night and he didn't even answer my questions - he wasn't even nice and was wearing a really awful PVC jacket!!! Plus the lad I was seeing told me he was seeing someone else but still wanted to s**g me!!! So I burst into tears and had black all round my eyes most of the night!! Dear oh dear!!!! :!: :!:

I can laugh about it today though!!!

friday afternoon went shopping and bought some clothess to go out and a new glasses. Went out for a dinner tapas in a bar of some friends with the intention of staying there during the nigth, I enjoyed myself a lot, danced and met lots of new people, what I liked more was that Rafa the owner gave us a bag with confetti and streamers and about twelve a clock they put a typical song we allways listen in Spain in New Years Eve and eeverybody started to sing en la puerta del sol nanaa and we throwed to each other the confetti and streamers like if it was NYE, I enjoyed so much this part and laugh so much. I really had a very good time.
The rest of the weekend nothing important.

Friday: Quiet evening. Early to bed.

Saturday: Up at 9am for a day out to thorpe park. Two cars heading down. One ended up breaking down in Fulham so after calling RAC and lots of waiting around, we all piled into one car and got down there at 1.30pm. Really nice day. Went on most rides and headed back to london around 5pm. had the same issue with mobile phones regarding the chelsea game and was quite happy at 5pm when I saw bolton had won 1 -0!!! Quiet night in preparation for Nike 10k run on Sunday.

Sunday: Up at 8am, drive to Hyde Park for 10k race at 10.30am. Managed to get round in 53 mins so was quite happy. Went for lunch in Soho and then lots of drinks in several bars and ended up in Vauxhall!! 8O 8O

Well done on the run :D I feel that a trip to Vauxhall is the perfect balance to a 10km run  ;)

Fri: Stayed in and watched a couple of DVD's with a bottle of bubbly. All Gone Pete Tong - which although was nothing like I thought it would be, I found it rather quite good - me and Mr PL watched it like 8O as Frankie Wilde character could have been based on a once rather good friend of ours who ended up just like him (obviously apart from the Coke Badger - but he did have his own personal demon) and the fact he went deaf (again, he had his own personal issue). Got Alexander out too - but kept that for trashed Sunday.

Sat: Went to town bought lots of clothes and a new jacket. Went to decorate a bar with lots of balloons for a Engagement Party that night.
Engagement party was rather bizzare to be honest, very low key, very quiet and not very celebratory in my mind. Popped into Digital for an hour or so to meet up with some friends, and have a listen to Seb Fontaine. Had a taxi booked for 12.45 (mad dog issues and needed to get home) the music was absolutely brilliant so was a bit hacked off to have to go home early. The dancefloor was a pain in the arse.
Full of pr!cks pretending to play fight, which you dont really want when you are being knocked all over the dancefloor and cant throw any shapes. We left before Seb even came on but I wasnt really that bothered because of the tits on the dancefloor. I turned round at one point and saw some clown climbing up on to the Funktion speaker tower at the back of the dancefloor, with his mates egging him on, the stack was rocking away and they were right under it clapping at him.....

Anyhow - missed Seb and to be honest, if that's the crowd he gets these days, not arsed about going to see him again...

Sun: lay around all day, watched Alexander - absolute pile of pap - dont bother, luckily we had taped the Nick Park night on Saturday and giggled our way through " A Grand Day Out, The Wrong Trousers, A Close Shave and Chicken Run"

Friday - cosy night in

Sat - Work in morning, 1st round of the cup in the afternoon 5-0 win :D, quiet night in after that

Sun - Birthday lunch for a friend and then a local pints 'n' papers Sunday.

Good job I had a quiet one, as I've walked into a maelstrom of problems with our biggest client this morning.

Fri: Worked late

Sat: Into town shopping during the day, then out with a big group at night. Met up with lots of guys we met in Ibiza, then went back for afters at a mates flat 8) Planned to go to bed, but that was never happening, so....

Sun: Straight to another mates house for a party all day. :D Just got in about 15 mins ago

:?

Fri - Tokyo project at Neighbourhood, which was QUALITY.... Admittedly, that was after a few frantic phone calls anyhow. (lots of roads closed around there and a few wrong turns made...   ) :D :D

Sat - After a couple of after-hours bits and pieces. Suddenly realised it was about 12 in the afternoon, so packed away the records and cd's and went to bed. Found out later that Chelsea won 5-1 which was good. ;) ;)

Sun - Recovering... (still)

All in all, quality weekend.

Fun weekend in fancy London town :D

Friday - me and the missus arrive in London, check into the hotel, and immediately get to doing what's important in life - shopping :D I haven't bought a decent amount of new clothes in a couple of years so was quite pleased with my purchases. Evening drinks with some friends and then home early as we'd gotten up early for our flight and were knackered.

Saturday - Another quick shopping jaunt in the morning before beginning the day's massive alcohol consumption at 2:00pm  Went to the Chelsea v. Bolton game which was AWESOME. :D Won 5-1 after being down 0-1 at halftime. Just beautiful.

After the game we went for more drinks with a bunch of friends who had also attended. Then back to the room to change and off to Bedroom Bar in Shoreditch to meet up with Mark Sun for more drinks. From there to Ministry of Sound for F*** Me I'm Famous, where the gracious Barbie was in podium residence and Tom, Jamie (cookie) and later Naddyz and Ferd were also in attendance. Great to see you all.

Ministry was super-rammed and the line for coat check was so long I just wore my jacket for a while (and nearly died of heat stroke!). It took us 30 minutes to get a drink once we got in, after which we headed into the Box for Bob Sinclar. Our second 40-minute attempt to get a drink was so unsuccessful that I grabbed the missus and barged our way into the VIP section  Once there, we stayed for an hour enjoying Sinclar from the balcony. I went back downstairs towards the end of Sinclar's set while the missus stayed to here more of Guetta in the bar area.

We got to hear parts of all 4 of the nights' sets - Sinclar rocked the house, Martin Solveig in the bar played a decent eclectic set (not unlike his Essential Selections if you've heard it). David Guetta was crap in the bar (Nirvana? again??) and started off slow in the Box but then really kicked it until around 5am when we started to feel the 3-hour time difference and decided to head home.

Sunday - Nice relaxed day. Took a walk in Green Park, bought a new suit, had some curry for dinner and went to see Wallace & Grommit in the Curse of the Were Rabbit.

Friday
Went to this nice little club in my hometown where Roog was playing. Had the best night out in my town for a very long time!!
The music was banging and I met up with so many old friends and even made some new ones! :D

Saturday
Very early rise after two hours of sleep to perform some mummy duties. Spent the day with my little girl just relaxing. Went to bed early for some much needed sleep....

Sunday
Only 15 minute drive from where I live is a lake with some nice sandy beaches. They've opened two very beautiful beachbars/restaurants this summer. One of them is still open every sunday, so I went there with some friends to eat, drink and relax. When the sun was still out we were all sitting outside on the beach with our rosés which was very nice. Almost felt like being in Ibiza! When it got dark we went inside and had a fab dinner.

Very good weekend indeed! :D 8)

Friday: Few drinks with friends before heading out to see Layo and Bushwacka at the Zodiac in Oxford, had a great night although the place was absolutely heaving and incredibly sweaty.. Music a bit too breaky for my liking, but still good. Ended up being awake until 6am dancing to minimal techno in the living room..

Saturday: Headed down to London late afternoon for dinner with a couple of friends with whom I headed out to ministry with. Turns out that ministry is not their scene so they left after 10 minutes and went to Kaberet... thanks to Barbie, Ferd, Morbyd and Irina for looking letting me enjoy the music without having any friends there!! Thought the music was good but not amazing, found Guetta a bit cheesy for my liking.. Left at about 5.30 or so

Sunday: Woke up on the bus back to Oxford about 3 hrs after I got on in the Bus Depot, luckily a cleaner came to let me out...

Well done! ;)

Good to meet you, and glad we could help make sure you had a proper entourage ;)
(Babs, Robo, et. al. were kind enough to do the same for me when I was alone at NDSM in April)

Fri- was in bed at 9pm after a very tiring staff football match.

Sat- Shopping in morning, then watched Forest notch up another win, 2-0 over hartlepool...YOU REDS!
Headed into town around 9, a few bars then to snug where stayed till 1ish

Sun- Relaxed day, sat watchin tv and sleeping on sofa.

FEEL REFRESEHD TODAY!!!!

Fri - Took my TTs & records in to my residency then realised that the boss and the whole pool team were away for the weekend. Yippee! :D While the cats away........ So, kicked off with loads more funky house than usual, had to get a bit more commercial when it started filling up. Later, the bosses mother-in-law, who was babysitting the pub with her hubby (and was pissed as usual), came over waving her arms and saying "play some lively music, you know, dance music, more lively". Ehh! 8O 'f*** I've played nothing but dance music for the last 3 hours', anyway I just ignored her as she's in her mid 60's so what does she know. Makes my blood boil though!

Sat - Lazed around all day trying to get as much sleep as I could ready for the long night ahead. Gig was fantastic! 8O Really busy and with the boss being away an' all............ got to play loads of great music without interferance, funky house at the start of the night and tough house at the latter  Bosses mother-in-law didn't bother me as we were very busy..........I even threw in My Washing Machine and Work This Pussy and waited for the tyrade from her...........but either she's deaf or didn't dare say anything as the dancefloor was full and the crowd freaked out when I played them.

Afterwards, dumped the gear at home and headed to Digital for Seb Fontaine. Had to queue for the first time at 1am in the morning. Once inside there seemed to be loads more uni students in than usual. Upstairs was more tough house than usual and downstairs Seb was good for most of the night, however, his last half hour was pure shyte. Seemed like he lost interest and put allsorts of weird noises on, but it was crap. Back home to watch the Chinese GP til 9am, then off to bed for the day.

Sun - Lazy arse DJ that I've covered for, for 7 Sundays since August, decided to work as he's skint. So, out on the lash round all my local discos chatting to the DJs..........and setup with a club manager friend to maybe take over residency in a nightclub. Just incase my boss doesn't wanna pay the money I want with the new license end of Nov. The backup plan is in place now, if she don't want to pay, I'm gone. Did a couple of nights for them in Aug and they really want me to work for them. :P Ended up in one of the local nightclubs (that I will be competing against in Nov.) where they play bangin' Hard House, German Techno, Rave, chava shyte.

Mon - where's the hangover thread? ......or is that bangover thread? not the beer, the erm.......... moosick.

Friday - stayed home, hangover from hell. Ate pizza. :D

Saturday - Cleaned the house, went for a walk in park. Sat eve ended up in usual Portobello/Nott hill haunts, was planning on going Ministry but my mates said tubes funked so sacked it off.

Sunday - Headed over to Norf Landan for lunchtime drinks round Islington. Dom cooked a roast Quorn last night, drank wine, bed.

Fairly sensible weekend although after the state I got in Thursday prob for the best.

Friday - had a lovely Thai meal with Jon :D

Saturday - left home at 9am, picked up the rest of the girls and headed for Dublin  Spent the day walking around the shops, bought a new top and some fancy jewellry, had a spot of lunch/dinner and then checked in our apartment which was really nice, spacious and clean. Got ready then headed out for a night on the town
Had a good laugh, went to a few cheesey bars, danced loads, drakn loads, stayed out til about 2.30pm then got completely lost walking home, ended up walking around the back streets of Dublin (just me and another girl) in our high heels totally p1ssed 8O Not the safest thing to do now I think of it!

Had a really good time but as always when you're out in a big group of girls, there's always arguements! There were about 10 of us in all, and everyone wanted to do different things, into different music etc, it caused a bit of friction :x Why can't girls just all be easygoing and just go with the flow like me?!

Sunday - down the pub for West Ham v Man City  and an Irish Stew :P then caught our flight back at 10pm
