Friday - few drinks in town.

Saturday - got the 'fro tamed, bit of shopping, watched the Chelsea game then headed out for Ministry. Good to see all the usual Ministry gang out in force and met up with Rob. Marc warmed up the Box brilliantly and Sander K was awesome. His first hour was quite proggy but then he played Brainbug and it was just one exploding moment after another until he finished with Prince - Kiss :D Demi was a bit too deep after so we left bout 6am, kidnapping poor Rob in the process 8O  Introduced Rob to the joys of the Lucozade Challenge before he left early afternoon (another innocent life destroyed  ) and then carried on thru-out the day before crawling into bed last night.

Great wkend all in all :D

Friday: Ang's birthday. Her brother/wife came up for weekend so stayed in for drinks etc.

Saturday: Up at 5am, drove to London with brother in law for training session in gym with Ralph Fiennes 8O Much smaller in the flesh than on screen. Breakfast @ Giraffe, couple of stop offs in Primrose Hill/St Johns Woods, back up to Sheffield for haircut at 2pm 8O Got on it big style Saturday night, umpteen bottles of champagne etc etc, bed at 4:30am.

Sunday: Recovery

Today: Tired :(

Friday - drinks after work with new workmates, went to a house party with loads of toffs, but still had a laugh. Ended up at a place called the reading rooms doing what can only be described as the "ministry of funny walks" dance.

saturday - drove up north to aviemore to meet some friends, was drinking in a place called café mambo, then onto a little gem of a nightclub (although im sure we just got lucky) called "the vault" which was playing some great music all night. danced my arsed off. but the best thing was the women, OH MY GOD!!!

oh, yeah, last night up to my mates to chill out. shattered today, keep getting funny looks in the office 8O

Friday: House party, but I was feeling bad and got home around 2 am
Saturday: Woke up with a cold, stayed in all day except for a japaness dinner
Sunday: Still got the cold, so stayed in bed till my best friend came around in the afternoon for lots of chats and updates in our lifes.

My weekend's are pretty standard and family orientated at the mo ... give me a few more weeks ... (Easter should do it), and we'll be back out there on the dance floor as before !

Hehe  I did have to get Tom to get me into headlock when we left Ministry so I wouldn't get minxy ideas about going on somewhere else 8O

What was the music like @ La Troya?? Same kind of stuff as in Amnesia/Space??

I trust Anthony celebrated his birthday in true style-eeeeee ;)

had a really really good weekend.

Met up with babs and tom to go to mos. First of all we met up in palacious surroundings of a weatherspoons down the elephant and castle. Still, was good to have a civilised drink and talk about all things, ibiza, ibiza, clubbing, trance, and more ibiza.

Headed off to ministry about 11ish and just 'chilled' and waited for the box to open. It opened at about 12:30 and babs was literally running to get her space on the podium. Never seen her move soooo fast before    Stayed in the same spot all night. Loved it soo much! Sander K was soo much better than i thought. Dropping some monster tunes like brainbug and after that it went off all the time. Superb stuff. Although i didn't think much of his VDJ stuff.

Left at 6ish after we couldn't take much more of demi. Headed back to barbie's without knowing what i had let myself in for 8O   Once we got back. We cracked open the vodka, wine, and the lucozades.

And the rest as they say is a blur.

Personal achievments for me where eventually naming all of the pups correctly. Getting some questions right in Tom's News of the world quiz  and telling people that i won't be able to play football and telling dad that i don't want picking up from the station as i'm Eailing. Just as the Lucozade hit! 8O

And thanks to tom for playing a random trancefest set

Left a changed man.

great night/day Bring on the next one.

Fri - 4 beers, a couple of sambucas and a pizza - probably not used a warm for a next day semi-final by professionals, but virtually a healthdrive at local level!

Sat - Terrible pitch led to a terrible game but we won our semi 6-3, so I went out for a couple of beers with the team locally before getting out and about. Headed to Play in Old Street to have a beer with Mark Sun and friends - always good to see you folks. Headed to Egg for Dusted - not necessarily first choice but was meeting some mates there. All gets a bit blurred from there on - carried on at the Egg afterparty on Sunday Morning then...

Sun - Left Egg at about 11am and headed down to the Key where there was another party. Got a lift with some randoms and called up the friends I'd left at Egg (Dempsey and lots of his cousins) to meet me at Ziegfied in Hoxton. Continued to get 8O and then realised that the group of Manc
s/Scousers on at the other end of the bar included some friends of mine, so our party expanded.

Ziegfried again supplied some random coincidence action - you may remember that last time I reported back from there I'd chatted to some bloke and ended up realising that I was in fact the bloke his girlfriend left a club with after they had a row a few years back. This time a friend of a friend introduces me to his mate and she says:

'hang on a minute, are you the Buckley who runs that utilities firm?

B: 'Er, yeah, how on earth did you know that?'

Friend of friend: 'You wrote to me after you idiot employees flooded the basement of my studio'

B: ' Ahhh, you mean thank you very much for fixing the water main that was flooding your studio and apologies for blaming the remedy rather than the cause.'

Left Ziegfried and went to the George and Dragon. Left there after one drink - head down there yourselves to find out why 8O  Back to Ziegfried and home a closing.

So... another quiet one really.
;)

Apologies for this being a week late, but, I was in Torrevieja, Spain last weekend (Saturday 26/2/05).

Just had to tell you the early part of the night I saw Jimmy Crikett at a pub with a late license.........he was as funny as..........

Anyway, my pals are not into clubbing. So, on the way back to the flat I got them to drop me off at the new Pacha nightclub. I was in there dancing until 8am, yay, reminiscent of Ibiza. At this time of the year it's only open Thurs/Fri/Sat and in the summer season 7 nights per week. It was rammed and all Spanish, didn't meet any English people at all. The main room took up 2 thirds of the building and was a bit commercial. They had a coloured topless girl dancing all night above the bar. The other room was about a third of the building and started off being very 'Housey'. They played David Guetta's The World Is Mine I can remember. As the night wore on they seemed to get more hard house with some Trancey tunes thrown in.

The one annoying thing was the DJ had a ships foghorn/airhorns with a string hanging down from the ceiling with a handle on it. He pulled it every now and then but it was so loud it drowned out the music, too cheesey. He also had a microphone on the desk in front of him and would lean over and start screaming into the mic, yuk!

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I even managed to have a bit banter with some of the Spaniards even though we couldn't speak each others lingo. Took around 15 minutes with 2 couples to figure out the opening nights (note to self - must learn Spanish  ).

Entry fee was about 15 Euros I think, Vodka Lemon was only 4 Euros. :D
