Weekend Rundowns

My wkend was meant to be 'quiet' night on Friday for Alex and Marcus's night, go home to own bed, do stuff on Saturday day, then Ministry Saturday night for Derrick Carter and be in bed by midday Sunday. Maybe I was being a tad optimistic

Reality was out round Hoxton for drinks with Jamie, head to Chapel Bar to meet up with everyone else, where Marcus was playing bringing some right classics out the box, Intro into I can try I can try I can try :D

The night goes very hazy after midnight, I can't even remember seeing Alex DJ :? Somehow got back to Jamies, drank vodka and other things that probably aren't advisable on a Saturday morning. Tried to have a little siesta in the afternoon but all I succeeded in doing was losing the plot in bed, thinking I was in bed with Tom and trying to take Jamie's jeans and pants off  8O

Tom came round and we went to Ministry where Derrick Carter played the bestest set I have ever heard him play, it was just one boompety boomp explosion after another. Left at 7am, few lucozades and mushrooms, headed to The Royal Oak but it's still shut for refurbishment  so headed to Love Bar which is the temporary Oak but it was all a bit too clean and civilised for us. Back to Jamies, drank lots of ruby juice and finished the night off with a Chinese. Finally remembered I do have a home in West London which I hadn't seen since I left for work at 8am Friday morning so headed back to my own bed at 11pm last night.

I've had the best weekend ever!
Caught up with all my Brighton kronies at once which is a rareity because a lot of us have upped sticks to different areas of the country.
Lots of messy house parties and loads of opportunities for mischief!
Also went to see the Witches at the theatre royal (had to make lots of 'boo'ing noises at a thespian friend who was done up in a very unflattering bald spotty wig).
Without wanting to sound too cheesy on a Monday morning, it's made me realise how important it is to nurture friendships. Aaaah.
It's also amazing how ideal the brighton lifestyle seems when you don't live there! How lucky are we to have such a fabulous getaway location?
Derek C sounded good! Glad to hear you enjoyed...I'm suffering from dance floor withdrawl and it's only been a week!
Still, NastyDirty is looking like a go-er.
Grrr - my inbox is full of emails from Rio - I have two friends doing the carnival this year.
However, it may be Monday morning but it's still worth smiling :D...Look out of the window...spring is coming! Yay!

Lol at Babs trying to rape Jamie

Friday: I had planned dinner with the girlies at my friend's but she got tickets for Circuit (alternative fashion week) and we saw some catwalks, and we then went to a party in a ship pretending we were all sophisticated women in the alternative fashion business.
Saturday: Pep took me for a great black rice (a kind of paella) and spent the day in the beaches taking pics and playing with our cams. At night meet some friends and went to a party in a rural bar
Sunday: did nothing special, except watching barça loosing :(

Fri - Couple of local beers and not much else.

Sat - A few hours at the office, followed by a 4-1 win in our second 1/4 final of the season. 18 games, 17 wins so far! Best referee we've had all season - denied the oppo a cast iron penalty shout and when I poleaxed someone with one of my trademark 20ft a slide tackles he answers the victim's protests with 'C'mon, get on with it - it's a man's game'

Stayed in Sat night because need to be up tomorrow for...

Sun - Work! Followed by a few beers watching the footy.

Have been feeling a bit 'flu-ey all weekend. Perhaps the last two big weekends plus ridiculous workload have finally taken effect - detoxing for a while again now methinks....

Fri - went to The Social for Chibuku Shake Shake vs Mongo Bongo - quality night, pity it shuts so early! Wandered back to mine and spent the next 5 hours talking codsh1te with my mates..

sat - woke up at 5pm! Had some Deliverance pizza and started boozing again.. went to a massive house party where I was djing and heartbreakingly missed beating my set record of 10hrs because the amp overheated.. still, 9 hours and 45mins aint too bad ;) All back to mine at 9am and more codsh1te...

sun - woke up after dark, watched simpsons, more pizza, back to bed!

Stayed there till around 11pm, then went to meet up with more mates to see DJ Scot Project. Crowd was a bit dodgy, but was still really good night :P :P

Was gonna head home to bed, but met some more mates on our way home, so all back to mine for afters :? . Lets just say by 10am we were all crawling along the floors thinking that we were mice :? 8O :?

friday-saw meet the fockers, funny but far too long for a comedy :)
saturday-flat party, everyone was doing ket, cant see the enjoyment in doing a drug that makes you fall asleep on someones lap,the party was gash.
sunday-was in bed by 11 then got woken up by a fire alarm at 1 in the morning instead of going back to sleep ,someone broke out a bottle of absinthe, was wasted on 3 shots and passed out sometime about 5 :(

Friday: Met up with Andi & Sarah @ Arca and went to Reflex for one and 52's. Met up with N8, Kat & Sav in Bambu and i dont really remember much :?. Get home at 5am.

Sat: Up at 10.30 to look at apartments, City centre one wasnt that nice, one in Hockley was sooooo gorgeous. I was sick outside apartment by the canal, i swaer the ducks were laffing at me . Got home and got back into bed via another visit to the U Bend and stayed there all day and night feeling very sick. Worst comedown ever FACT!!!.

Sunday: After Joey let me get out of bed we went for Dinner at Mailbox and then to my mothers.

Friday: stayed in

Saturday: Went to Dusted at Egg. The more I go to this club the more I like it. Good quality sets from the likes of Wandy and Oliver Lang, but it was Yousef who done it for me.
Also it was great to meet Kitty for the first time 8) , even if it was a bit brief as she was busy admiring Oliver Lang's.. errr.... mixing skills.. ;)

Sunday:After deciding to go to an after-party near Oxford St, we found out when we got there we didnt have a clue where it was so we went home to sleep all day..
Like Sil, I also saw Barcelona lose

weekend was boring.

got up this morning to find my dining room ceiling on the dining room table with water everywhere and the carpet in the dining room and bathroom flooded thanks to a leak under the bath above.

emergency plumber (dad) came and insurance claim from in the post to me tonight :D :D :D

Had a really good busy weekend;
Friday : Still not over my horrible cold although much better. Had a good crowd in my residency, was busier than usual, normally have a quiet half hour around 9.30pm, didn't happen, stayed busy. :D

Saturday : Did a 5 mile run in the afternoon. Gig was really busy again all night. After finishing at midnight took my gear home then off to Newcastle to catch Deep Dish @ Shindig, didn't get there til 1.00am but still got in OK. Brilliant night, my pal Neil was DJing upstairs in The Loft too so I got to see him as well. Was wondering if PL was there. :?

Sunday : Didn't get to bed til 5.00am from Shindig and was up at 9.00am. Off to Yorkshire for the GT4 Owners Club car meet. Great meeting, 25 cars turned up from all over the midlands and a few of us from the North East. Loads of bikes there too as it's a bikers regular gathering place, Squires Cafe, Sherburn-in-Elmet. Saw some amazing machinery, one guy turned up with a trike with a Jaguar V12 in it! 8O Was like a tractor with the engine at the front, he didn't have handlebars he had a tiny steering wheel instead, well weird. If that wasn't enough a small 2 seater helicopter came and landed next to the car park just to get a coffee. 8O Now that's posing in the extreme!

Put in a 6 mile run with a couple of mates then went out for a drink on the night, first drop of alcohol in 4 weeks, discos and nightclub were crap :( but less than 2 quid a pint! Was even a pound a pint in one pub. 8O All in all a busy but pretty good weekend. :D

Friday - went after work to meet up with a bunch of journalists for drinks (comes with the job, I suppose). Got home to change but ended up passing out after an argument with the wife. She promptly ran off to see Harry Choo Choo Romero play at club Skazka.

Saturday - Sat on my butt all day before heading to a birthday party at 11ish. Then over to club Penthouse for a VIP party. I got to say a quick hello to Marat Safin. Afterwards, to the first birthday party of club Fabrique where DJ Pippi was in town spinning some great tunes. Picked up a chicken quesadilla from Starlite Diner carry out on the way home. mmm good.

Sunday - Woke up at 2pm after a scant 6 hours sleep and dragged myself over to the sports bar for the 7pm kick-off of Chelsea v. Man City. Not the result I wanted. Went home for a nap before returning to said sports bar to see the Superbowl. Go New England! (I went to university in Boston). After getting home at 7am, I did not manage to make it to work on time this morning.

Meant to be having a quiet one as well - funny how it never works out like that?!

Friday: Drinks with a mate in town and then headed to the Sub Club to see the mighty DJ Bone. Didn't know a huge amount about him prior to Friday, apart from the fact that everyone raves about him and he definitely lived up to my expectations.

Really interesting techno set with some unusual numbers thrown in - Del La Soul for one! Lovely crowd as well. Would advise anyone to go and see him - even the househeads were impressed.

The went back to a couple of parties, although neither were too mental.

Saturday: Slept pretty much all day and the awoke and made a start of the alcohol. Drank quite a bit.

Sunday: Slept until lunchtime and then headed out to the pub to see Man City vs Chelsea with my boyfriend and a mate of ours. Pub full of drunk old men who'd put bets on Chelsea to thrash us. How we laughed!

Really pleased with the result (sorry Chelsea fans). We've now taken points of Arsenal, Man United and Chelsea away this season. Who says money buys success? ;)

Roll on next Sunday...
