Early i know but tonights all about the relaxing after the weekend.
Fri - Finished work at 1pm to head to the airport to fly to Amsterdam, meeting up with Laura who had been at a conference there.
Glasgow Airport - managed to pick the queue for check-in of a clearly senile woman, took twice as long as the other line!!!
Flight was ok, pretty smooth apart from the landing which probably left 3 large holes in the runway where the wheels smashed down!
Train/tram strike in Holland so i had to queue for a hotel shuttle bus - stood for about 1hr. Got to the front, said where i was staying but hte dude runnign the queue didn't know it - i'm now holding up this wee bus so i just asked to get dropped near Centraal Station. Bus driver is a complete maniac - takes to the suburbs as we drop off the other passengers - almost taking out several pedestrians, cyclists and cars!!
Get to the Botel at 8pm - its a dive! - handy location and reasonable price but not much cop. Starving so we head to the Floating Chinese next to the Botel. Excellent food and service.
Night time - despite being told we could walk it, we couldn't find PANAMA so we just leaped into a taxi. Almost walked right into TIMO MAAS as we entered the venue! the place took a while to get going during LOCO DICE (cracking set from him too) but by the time Timo came on it was quite busy indeed!
Brilliant night there then.
SAT - Met with Lauras relatives and took a wee wander thru the streets but couldn't really do too much as it was SO DAMN HOT!! Botel temperature sign said 36degrees!!!!! I ended up pinky!
Lovely meal in Luden restaraunt before we went for a wee wander around the canals (inc the Red Light District )
SUN - Just as hot again as we head back to Schiphol and home to Glasgow

for a couple of hours in some forest where pauls dads dog had been seen, didnt find him though.

Just remembered telling Mike Monday he was a dead ringer for Harry Hill! As a bald bloke/skinhead in similar glasses, I bet he's never heard that before
