i'll kick it off as it was eventful

fri
Quiet nite in preparing for the weekend

sat
Up mega early to get to the pub for opening before the Old Firm game
few drinks and then to the match
great win for us
took an accidental punch at the first goal - bleeding gums for a while 8O
meandered home and stayed in to avoid the probable carnage in town

sun
up mega early again for golf
played absolute pish
nipped to Ikea to exchange the light transformer i blew  - but they swapped it none the less ;)
at night - off to Barfly in Glasgow for the MTV2 Gonzo tour gig
rumours for weeks that the secret headliners were Babyshambles - and it was
tiny tiny venue (200 capacity) absolutely rammed full and very sweaty
cracking gig - Operator Please and Joe Lean & the Jing Jang Jong were great
Babyshambles were sublime, Doherty looking well and clean
had a wee chat at the bar with Zane Lowe, a quick handshake hello to Pete after as he got on the bus and then home, soaked to the skin :D

mon
tired

Saturday, less said about the Rugby the better!!
Absolutely belting night at Ministry for Toolroom Knights, got there circa 1230, the queue was massive, and right round the corner!! Musically was superb, D Ramirez, and particularly Mark Knight were inspired, well busy, cracking vibe, all good!!
Sunday, lazy day, underwhelmed by the Formula 1!!

Friday - meal with my girl pals for friends b.day was rather nice, had a nice pizza and conversation with the girls, back home earlyish as she has 2 little ones to get back for.

Saturday - went to see a mortgage advisor about moving out, me and my friend. Im all for doing it but my friend seems to want to do it "now now now" yet we have no savings etc and it all seems a bit scary to me.
I dont think just looking at 2 places and seeing one financial advisor is enough. Any tips?

Sat eve went out with boyfriend and 2 other couples - only met the guys briefly before not the actual girls. The girls were really nice, 1 of them in particular I could get along with & her boyfriend I worked with years ago so that was cool but the other guy was a complete and utter p**ck - he made some really rude comment to me as well which apparantly is a line from a film - im not so sure - but even then it wasnt what he said it was just the humilation of everyone laughing and Im a good laugh always up for a joke but he was just a complete and utter arrogant pig. The night went rapidly downhill once we went to watch the rugby.

Ended up completely and utterly trashed, my boyfriend had to escort me from the pub as he was so worried about me (I ended up nodding off in the toilets and he had no clue where I was) then bumped into my best mate who took us to another bar - really nice exclusive bar - I ended up throwing up twice on the floor so not only did I humilate myself in front of my newish boyfriend I also did it in a posh place. Nice work. Luckily his friends didnt see as we had left them in the pub next door.

Boyfriend then took me home, my parents had their friends round who I have known since I was 8 so that wasnt a problem but I walked in smelling of sick, looking a right state with panda eyes - I then proceeded to tell the whole room I was planning on eating lots of cookies and the what not on my upcoming trip to Amsterdam, I then shouted out what the arrogant guy had said to me as a joke and everyone was horrified. My poor boyfriend didnt know where to look. All I remember is the look of shame on his face...........

So yeah great night that was................its a surprise he is still talking to me!!!

Sunday - felt very sorry for myself, took boyfriend to play football, then later on in the day ended up having lunch with him and his parents then he took me to the David Lloyd thats open near us for a spa, sauna, swim, gacuzzi so felt a lot better after that. Then snuggled up to watch Lock Stock. Asleep by 10pm!

Friday - Jeff Mills @ the warehouse project.

What a venue. you have to go. its brill. Jeff Mills banging. Me trashed = fab fab night.8)

Saturday - somehow, despite our bonkers manager, won the derby - yay! Then slept, out to mates for rugby. Sad, yet happy we even got to the final obviously.

Sunday - strangly and un patriotically kind of wanted alonso to win. cant explain why, something to do with the underdog fighting against his own team. anyway, worst case result happend.

The style of Scott's report is very much in line with how my brain is working right now. Thus, I will co-opt it for my own purposes

Friday
Afterwork drinks with a friend at Hemmingway's.
Stayed there for another friend's birthday drinks. Got very very drunk.
Home for a quick change of clothes.
Cisterna Hall for Gabriel & Dresden. Good tunes. Very glad I chose them instead of Oakenfold's gig. 8)
Met up with friends at Dyagilev afterwards, followed by abortive attempt to get into Krysha. Stumbled home.

Saturday
Went to Sport Land to watch football.
Drinks at Denis Simachev Bar.
Met up with a friend at The Most. Got very very drunk.
Left just in time to miss Nicky Hilton's entourage & other Russian Fashion Week refugees(though Irina stayed behind for a bit).
Attended a friend's birthday outing at club Solyanka.
Heard an especially good morning tech-house set from DJ Sanches, who then segued into Behind the Wheel and Killer 8)

Sunday
Slept most of the day.
Accomplished absolutely nothing aside from figuring out that our local Indian restaurant does delivery (and taking advantage of those services)

Monday
brain dead

Bravo, Em!

So I suppose the real test is if the boyfriend still wants to take you out in public next weekend, or suggests a quiet night in with pizza delivery and a DVD

Nothing exciting for me.

Friday - Gym, food and then bed!
Saturday - Domestic bliss, gardening, gym, watched first half of the united game then home for food and drink with friends with the rugby on in the background although to be honest there wasn't much interest in it from any of us.
Sunday - Up early for golf, played ****e although still managed to draw with opponents although it took 5 hrs  to get round 18.....bloody slow old man who was nice enough but took forever to do everything! Went to folks for lovely lunch a subsequntly had a kip in the afternoon then off to local in the evening.

Quite an eventful weekend for me, for good and bad reasons.

Friday - stayed in with a few drinks and a home cooked dinner :)

Saturday - watched the rugby at a friend's house with a few drinks and a takeaway. Had a nice evening, decided to get a bus home as it's only about 15mins drive from ours and we wanted to save money. As we were standing at the bus stop, a car drives past and the occupants pelt us with raw eggs, ruining Jon's new jacket and my jeans :x:spank::evil:   What total losers. The fact that they were driving a nice new 4x4 aswell just makes the whole thing even more pathetic to me. Why do people do these things just to ruin other people's nights. Luckily we were on our way home and not on our way out, it would have totally ruined our plans. As yet the egg stains are not out of our clothes and we are getting our stuff dry cleaned so hopefully it will come out.

Sunday - Saw Jon's family, spent the day playing with the babies, eating curry and relaxing.

Bravo, Em!

He did mention Blockbusters...............................

Joking, he still spent the whole day with my yesterday and even sneaked me into his gym so I guess im not doing too bad. I did warn him it was his turn next time.

As my friend said look on the bright side if he still wants to know you after seeing you yakk up twice it cant be all bad

Raresh @ The Sub Club was ace 8)

sat up drinking in apartments/hotels till yesterday afternoon as I had no money for a bus and had to wait for my friend to be legit to drive us home. Very tired this morning.

Anyone else digging the Romanians the noo?

Fri - yummy meal to celebrate Tom's new job.

Sat - nice day consisting of long dog walks, shopping, out for lunch. Then rugby at night before heading off to Island. First time I'd been to this club - really nice intimate venue and attracted good crowd. Danny Rampling was superb - started off with a lot of back in the day  LGDP stuff and was shoom-ing away  Nicky Holloway played next - the last time I'd seen Nicky Holloway was Millennium eve's eve in Ibiza and there is a reason he only plays out once every 8 years  Very much a classicfunkyhousebynumbers set - personally would have preferred him to play first and Rampling to close, but still an enjoyable night and good to venture to new haunts.

Sun - got in and mixed about with Katie for a while and then did the unheard of thing of sleeping til F1 in preparation for Tom starting new job today.

Women know your limits, Don't drink alcohol!!!

Friday - I was working then decorated a bit at night.

Saturday - I decorated all day then hit Sub Club at night. DJ set by AME 's Kristian Beyer. WOW what a night . My first time in the Sub Club and I was impressed. Great crowd Kristian played a blinding set of pumping techno. I loved it.

Sunday - bed.
Today - decorating.

Thur - Finished exams :D(for another 6 months :(), then proceeded to get right on it in a delayed celebration of the last fortnight... Drinks in Victoria with my fellow exam victims comparing notes and generally reaching a concensus that none of us really did any work, we all found it really hard, and we have no chance of passing; though as will be mega transparent come resuts day, they had be lying their privately educated pants off on each point.

Later on ventured into Camden and Saw Mr Hudson & the Library at Koko's - a place I once vowed never to go back to - though glad I didn't let my stubbornness get in the way of a cracking night :D. Felt happy for the boys as they'd sold out the venue, and now give me an opportunity to say I liked them before they got all famous!8)

Fri - Had a meeting late on with a very positie outcome, then went on to celebrate in the city, my pals deserted me at 8pm in no-mans land (i.. too pissed to go home and do nothing, though not feeling like I've had a full night out), and was luckily saved by bumping into some other pals en route to the train home, and was promptly whisked off to everyone's fave 80's bar - Reflex. Honestly didn;t realise this many songs were released inth decade, and was thoroughly impressed that when I shuffle off this mortal coil, I have done it having heard "Joe Esposito - You're the Best" (the tune in KK1 whereLaruso battles through all the early stages) in a bar/club environment:D:D Utterly shocked as the lights come on at 3am!

Sat - Nursed suitably massive hangover, an crawled out of bed to arrange the day. Found out all my pals from Brighton were coming up to watch the rugger in Tiger-Sorry-mate-no-trainers-and-it's-couples-only-now-Tiger! Proceeded to have the same conversation with everyone in the place at how crap it was, saw the rugby, kept shouting out "Handball, Shoot and Touchdown" at every opportunity, and was upset for a good 30 seconds as England slipped to a plucky defeat, again.

Then went on to The Island, walked in to Rampling dropping Talking Heads - Once in a Lifetime, and as tracks-to-walk-into-a-nightclub goes, it's up there with the Ghostbusters theme tune at Space in Junes as the best I've heard all year:D. Rampling smashed it proper A good mix of tunes old and new wthout resorting to the obvious hits too often, and the mixing was good enough that I had tokeep checking it was actually him. Had an ace night, though can agree with Babs on Nicky Holloway, who cleared the floor quicker tha O'Sullivan does a green baize table.

Other points of note include a very achitypal clubber conversation that could have been a scene out of Human Traffic, where I gave new best pal Rampling my top 3 sets I've heard from him (including one time that apparently wasn't him?!). Oh, and the club itself is ok. Nothing mega (reminds me of Hidden tbh, and that's not a glowing reference), AND they have a bit of a mini podium in the corner where we were that TICKLED your feet. Which was rather disconcerting to say the least:roll::lol:

Retired to my usual post clubbing abode for in depth discussions on the history of house, and a DVD minimarathon.

Crawled into work to find my e-mail provider has gone out of business 8O8O8O8O:(:(:( Which if I wasn't numb from the weekend, would have made me cry - EVERYTHING has gone, all my personal emails I've sent in the last 7 years urgh EVERYTHING:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

So all in all a great weekend:D:D:D:D, though I fear the full realisation of the effects of the final bit are due to come

:D
