Smug and healthy here!

Fri - played 5-a-side all day for my client's football team. Somehow quailified from the group stage, despite my team not being the most gifted and thus avoided the indignity of playing in the 'Plate' (UEFA Cup-alike) competition. Got knocked out by the holders when our star player (me, natch ) had to go in goal because the keeper was out trying to stop his car getting clamped!

Stayed in Fri night, although my sleep was disturbed by a young lady turning up at mine after a night out8)

Sat - dropped said young lady home and saw folks I know leaving 'Redlight' at the Acquarium on Old Street. Felt doubly smug at comparative healthiness!

Sat - Played footy in the afternoon - lost 3-2 - gutted. Buckers glorious leadership plans did not include losing amy league games at all! Ah well, the season has a long way to go. Early kick off due to England game meant much booze had been consumed by the end of the rugby and plans to go to a mates' party were binned. In bed before midnight on a Sat!

Sun - Lazed around, looked at cars and decided on a A4, although still didn't get one bought! Nice thai meal and then home to watch the rugby.

Fresh as a daisy here!!

fri

nowt much of anything

sat

Ikea to get some bits and pieces
fixed the kitchen light (after months of crappy lamps in there)

scotland game C'mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmon
qualification within our grasp!! :D

dinner at a local tapas place

went to see Control - stunning film - moving, funny, great soundtrack (of course), fantastic performances and beautifully shot

Fri - nice night in with a bottle of wine & watched some telly/DVDs

Sat - had to go baby shopping with a friend for our other friends little girls (shes 1 on Firework night) then my friend also had to get her other friend who has just had a baby some newborn clothes. Confusing?
Oh my days baby shopping is so hard, I got bored after about 15 mins, in the end we settled for some quite nice bits for her. Also then had to get friend with the children a b.day present so I have shopped for everyone else this weekend except myself, and people call me selfish
Out for a friends b.day on Sat night, turned into a rather messy affair as 3 bottles of rose were consumed in the space of a couple of hours so me and my friend ended up back at mine by 1 totally crashed out, woke to someone knocking on my door at 4am as we had left the light on.

Sun - had relatives down so spent a bit of time with them, in the eve went to new fellas house to meet MORE of his family (my god there is so many of them) this time there was 12 of us sitting down to a nice roast dinner, then watched some of the rugby and chilled out, perfect way to end the weekend

Funny you said that Buckley, i had a similar situation on Saturday night, was at home drinking playing decks/online/watching TV,etc when i get a call from a Polish lad i know asking what i was up to, i was gonna say i was going to bed when he mentioned he was with Dagna (stunning Polish lady) and her friend, friends of his and they were looking fdor somewhere to go (ive met her before) so i immediately said "oh yes come up no problem":lol: why are Polish girls so much classier than Dublin skankbags:roll: she took a keen interest in how the Technics 1210's and Serato scratch worked, needless to say my interests and thoughts lay elsewhere:lol:,what a stunning bird she is.

Polish nite at mine always good;)

Thursday - Chemical Brothers concert. Not impressed at all.

Friday - Anniversary party for a friend's company at club Ikra, headlined by some DJ from New York and a very good band from St Petersburg called Girls Don't Want that did, in fact, sound a bit like early Go Go's (their myspace: http://www.myspace.com/girlsdon39twant). Afterwards, met up with a club owner friend of mine at Galeria, where he promptly buggered off and left me to escort his group of guests from Ibiza to show them the club Dyagilev.

Saturday - Attended the Evander Holyfield v Sultan Ibragimov boxing match (Evander lost :(). Went to the big gala opening of a new club called Most. Followed that up with a stop by Club XIII to pick up the Spaniards, then back to Dyagilev, then to Krysha for afters.

Sunday - Felt very wrong indeed. Saw the first snow of the season through the windows. Watched last week's eps of Prison Break, Heroes, Bionic Woman.

Friday - Out with friends for Japanese meal which was good to catch up with some people not seen for a long time. The Mrs (5 Months pregnant) drove ;) so car was parked right outside and with a belly full of various raw fish and Japanese beer, we retired by midnight...

Saturday - Took Mini Jam out for the morning to a party (fancy dress), where he rocked the place as Spiderman....bless!

then did the whole Ikea thing before heading back to asemble our treasures in front of the rugby. Lasting image of a 2 year old studiously staring at the instructions for a table & chairs........ holding it upside down . Mini Jam then went to the garage and had some fascination with painting his room and had a good go at the wall with an empty paint tray and roller...

Rugger was ace, then lazy night finishing off all the Red Stripe not already guzzled....

Sunday - Lie in followed by a trip out to Diggerland! Mini Jam was unwell and Mrs Jam not too steady on her feet so we had to abandon it. Will return another day though as it was VERY good. Evening consisted of Rugby and Top Gear (the tv show).....

Thursday - Chemical Brothers concert. Not impressed at all.

Really? I'd have thought they'd have been ace! They were awesome at glasto (right what I needed for that time and state!) and heard nothing but good things about subsquent do's?

Quietish one for me, due to exams next week, though I did manage to show the world once again on Friday that whilst I can probably go toe to toe with Peasy and Blocko, Sen Vath and Black Beauty in certain contests, if I smell a pint glass with beer in, I am literally anyones! :spank:  Still, I did get kidnapped "for my own good" despite my protestations (like I was getting carted of to a mental institution!), and despite being shamefully abusive to my captors:oops:, I am probably grateful that they did! And at least I didn't expose myself to anyone this time;)

The rest of the weekend was spent licking my wounds, and then out in Covent Garden with half an eye on the rugger, and went for a meal at Asia de Cuba, amazing food, delightful company ;) and a bill that nearly made my eyes water!:lol::lol:

Sunday - lazed around, eyed up a possible French invasion next Saturday, and Frankfurt the following week:D

Friday - Rach's birthday drinks after work. Very strange night combining looking after drunken friends , drinking cheap wine, standing on a street corner of Kings X, eating snacks, various arguments with Boyfriend, Bouncers, Strangers  Was quite glad to get home really

Saturday - Viewed a lovely flat at 11am. We've made an offer to rent it so fingers x'd we should hear something soon 8O
Watched the football and rubgy in the pub all day. Pretty average day made only better by the good sports scores 8)

Sunday - went for a walk round Wanstead Park, chilled on sofa all evening.

This weekend was all about drinking and eating toooooooo much, falling off bar stools and injuring my leg before heading to see TAKE THAT. Best concert ever though not sure if it was better than last years. They were on for 2 hours and sung loads of tracks of Beautiful World as well as some oldies, loved Sure, Never Forget and Relight my fire. Great dance section in it with howard djing (or pretending too) lasers and loads of loony dancing. Loved every minute of it. I felt 14 all over again, all dancing and jumping about has made my leg worse  well worth it tho.

Apparently, they've got 2 shows depending on how much you want to pay them (one promoter, not related to the show, told me this over the weekend although I have no corroboration).

One show involves additional people, instruments, etc. The other is just the 2 of them, surrounded by several stacks of synths & controllers that they practically never touched, basically playing a glorified DJ set of their own songs. You can guess which show we had.

There were great visuals up on the screen behind them, but I still couldn't help thinking I could have saved the 2000 rubles each (~40 pounds) for our tickets and just loaded up my own set of their MP3s in Windows Media Player with the visualization turned on.

I still love their music, and the mixes were great, but I just felt cheated the whole night... especially after seeing Basement Jaxx & Faithless over the past few weeks - electronic music acts that put on real live shows. I might have felt better about it if it were late on a weekend night and I was properly intoxicated, but a 10pm show on a school night didn't really allow for excess.

fri: My plan worked well. Managed to recruit 6 people at Rachel's birthday drinks for a Gallery outing. It's always the unplanned nights that turn out to be the best. Thought Oakie was on great form. Plus it wasn't rammed as it usually is for him. Loved his mix of U2's "Beautiful Day"

Sat. Enjoyed all the sports. Spain managed a win in Denmark and have consequently nearly qualified.

Friday day, World Match Play golf at Wentworth, watching live is not as good as TV, as its tough to see much action! Then down to Glos!!

Watched the Footy, dull as, but right result!! Then the Rugby!! What a game, thought we'd lost it, but the boy Jonny came good!!

Feeling fresh today!!

sat

scotland game C'mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmon
qualification within our grasp!! :D

i was scaring Laura cos she was at the computer with her back to me and thrice i roared as the goals went in

3pts on wednesday and we only need 1pt vs Italy to guarantee qualification
we really deserve it this time as well

Glasgow was awash with kilted, incredibly pished fans for hours! :)

Carl Craig on Saturday was absolutely insane. Insane does not do any justice to his performance, but I just do not know how to describe the feeling. If anyone of y'all get a chance to see him, then please do. Has anyone ever seen him play live before?

Fri - Went to the opening night of Glengarry Glen Ross - Excellent play though the amount of swearing was unbeleivable. Went to the after party at Mint Leaf on Haymarket were I procedeed to neck as many free passion fruit mojito's as I could find.....Classy!

Sat - All day sports affair at the Three Kings pub in West Kensington. Never been before but highly recommended. Good fun.

In the pm headed down to one of the Ibiza Aussie crews Bday. Had hired out the top bar in Turnmills till midnight and then headed down to the main club after that. Havent been to turnmills in at least 3-4 yrs. Had forgotten what an excellent club it is. Though it also tought me why I rarely Drink and Club. Admittedly was wasted but was dead on my feet by 4ish. Still great night.

Sun - Chilled out

Friday - Left work nice and early at 4, went home to get my stuff together then it was off to Brighton for a night out! Went to a couple of bars before ending up in Honey Club for Pete Tong

Saturday - Left Brighton at midday ish and got the train back up to London to go to Wembley for the England match! First half was pretty good but second half was nothing to write home about, what i didnt understand was that some people were leaving 15 minutes before the end! :spank: Got back into the West End about 6 and went to Sports Cafe to watch the rugby although I couldnt get in as i was "too drunk" even though I had 2 beers all afternoon, the bouncers were complete morons! Instead, I decided to meet some friends in a pub in Marlyebone but we left to watch it at a friends flat as it was too busy. We managed to sneak out a 4 pint pitcher, bit of a result if I say so myself  After the drama of the rugby, I was absolutley exhausted so I was in bed by 12 (yes, on a saturday!)

Sunday - Had a nice lie in, saw my nephews and watched France v Argentina then had an early night!
