Friday - Took a client to lunch in afternoon and then worked from home rest of day. Couple of quiet drinks with the current.

Sat - 6.00am start to find half the workforce who should be in hadn't shown. Much anger and rage from yours truly and messages left right and centre: "You have until 8am to retrieve this message and get in here or you are unemployed!"

Sat afternoon - 4-1 win against the only team in the league who can catch us. Looking like a league and cup double is very much on the cards!

Sat night - Two leaving parties (one at Medicine Bar Old Street, one at The Highgate) followed by City Loud at Turnmills. Turnmills was rammed - no idea what Morales et al were like because once I got comfy in the VIP bit I really couldn't be arsed fighting throught the crowds downstairs. Didn't really have my club head on anyway, so left at 4ish having stuck to just drinking.

Sun - mate rings and asks me to play in a casual kickabout at the astroturf pitch up the road. I agree but regret doing so when his 'over-enthusiatic' pal manages to injure me fairly badly. X-ray later on today expected to confirm break to one or more metatarsals. So the rest of league and the cup final may have to be won with out me. Gutted!

So... it would have been far better if I taken loads of chemicals and stayed out all day Sunday. There's a moral for you.

SAT - left nice n early to travel down to Bristol. stopped off on way to grab a coffee and a rest, only to "zone out" for 2hrs... thought it was 8.30 but when i was back in the car, the clock read 9.30...

Finally got down about 11ish, and met up with the lovely ibiza_lou 8) . watched lou try on every item of clothing in Bristol ;) , had a lovely lunch at some morrocan place in the market (very filling place if yr a lady;)), few drinks although judging by the fact we had an espresso come out to our table when we ordered a spritzer i think the barman needed to put his head down for a bit! had loadsa chats till 8ish when she had to go

after lou went, went back into town to meet Mambobird, Joey and Stoney, had an indian in place called Old India... and then headed off to Union in Cardiff where Stoney was playing... saw lots of people vvvvvvv drunk staggering home after the rugby...

v good set by stoney, almost didnt make it down to the dancefloor bit cos of a VERY STICKY CARPET... nice crowd, we even found a pair of fake boobs on the floor of the DJ booth as we packing up...

never drinking vast amounts again...

cheers to Stoney, Mambobird and Joey for a top night (soz if i had to go... but I HAD TO GO (twice), and Lou for a very enjoyable day. gonna miss ya chick, but you know yr gonna love Marbella. 8)

Sun - drove home, 2 n half hrs non-stop, almost had some prick hit me as i was over taking into the middle lane and he was cutting back into the middle lane... hello.. flashing yellow things? spent best part in bed sleeping off hangover. :?

Friday we went to So:UK in Clapham for Tom's friends birthday (anyone who lives south of the river DO NOT ever go to this bar - reasons to follow). As soon as I walked in I knew it was my idea of hell, loads of coked up twats listening to a Hed Kandi/Defected greatest hits soundtrack  Anyway Tom's friends had a bit sectioned off so it wasn't too bad and it was nice to catch up with everyone. The blokes are all fab, the girlies are lovely but they're all HMW types and there's only so much I can talk about Gucci shoes and Prada bags   Then about 10.30pm the bouncer goes to everyone 'you've got to go to the main bar, Lee Chapman (who owns bar) wants to sit up here', this is despite the whole area been reserved for us for the night  The arrogant wife beater goes and sits up there on his own, then the bouncer goes 'no the blokes have to go but Lee says the ladieeez can stay', wtf  A couple of hours later the combination of shit music and coked up tits barging past us got too much so we headed off and just went to say bye to Tom's friend who was back in the segregated bit. As I was saying bye to him I look round and the bouncer has grabbed Tom (the most laid-back person there is who was also stone cold sober cos he was driving) and goes 'wft are you doing, I've told you you can't come up here cos Lee's here'. Errrr hello this is some d-list 'celebrity' who's only famous for beating up his wife these days you're talking about. What a horrible horrible place, avoid at all costs

Saturday spent the day drinking spritzers in the sunshine then we went into town to meet Jon and Bec before Fabric. Fabric was absolutely diabolical, the majority of the crowd looked like they shouldn't even be in a club and the music was appauling, we knew Sven Vath was playing at 2 but after flitting between Room 1 and 2 we didn't want to spend another minute in the place so me and Tom escaped to Ministry where Mark 'easy on the eye' Knight was playing along with my favourite-ist Mutiny boys :D Had a fab time @ Ministry, even Wally Lopez who I normally find pretty dull was on top form. Left at 7 and I'd had a text from Jamie (who was having a quiet wkend) earlier in the night saying you're more than welcome to pop in and say hi when you leave Ministry so we get Jamie up, have some Lucozade and rose for breakfast, popped round to Jon's for a bit and finally got taxi home at 9pm last night.

...Horrid place. Last time I went there I had a v similar experience. The atmosphere in the bars reflects the nature of the place. A supposed 'middle class' suburb full of jumped up tw*ts and completely devoid of any London atmosphere.

Friday...Bottle of wine followed by an early night 8O ...probably due to the aforementioned St Paddy's day carnage.

Saturday...Went to the gym in the morning 8O , then met up with the ex-husbuzzard for a catch up session. Found my summer sunnies in the Dior shop on Sloane St but talked myself out of parting with the cash (thank God). Next headed for the Stop the War coalition protest and shouted very loudly whilst carrying a banner reading, "Troops out". Listened to some of the speeches but eventually the pulling power of the ice cream van was too much so we bailed for some outdoor beer drinking in Soho sq. Finished in the big chill and went home to prepare for a night in Brixton.
Got a phone call from a friend wanting to go out in V_______  ...ended up lunching out on my Brixton sesh for what I didn't know was going to be a filthy fetish nite. Urgh - the less said about it the better. Was VERY traumatising, not my thing at all...but cried with laughter by the bar in a pair of pvc hotpants all the same :? .

Sunday...Recovery session with a gorgeous man but felt like a bit of a fish wife when I left him watching the grand prix to go and drink wine on the river with my girly mates. ;)

Monday...Not feeling bad at all this morning but still rather scarred from some of the scenes on Saturday.

*groan*

Friday - Went into Watford with the girlies, had a fab time, unfiortunately had to have a quiet-ish night as we were all skint  so no clubbing for us, just bars, lots of dancing, then home at 1pm.

Saturday - spent all day lounging about in the sunshine, went for a nice walk around the countryside with my mum :D , then popped into Asda's to pick up some booze then drove round to Jon's doe about 6pm.

Headed off to Fabric with Jon, Rich, Russ, and Ash, bumped into Sar and Tom on the streets of Faringdon  and then went into Fabric.
The crowd was pretty bad to be honest, it was very moody, no atmosphere and the music wasn't up to much either. So I wasn't very suprised when Sar and Tom said they were going to Ministry at 11.30pm 8O
We decided to stay because Sven Vath was on from 2-6am and he was our fave DJ from Ibiza so we wanted to see what he could do. He didn't disappoint, the set he played was AMAZING, proper evil, dirty basslines that got the club rockin. Unfortunately the crowd just wasn't *that* hyper, in Ibiza in Amnesia, the crowd was brilliant, whooping and cheering everytime Sven dropped in a new tune. Saturday's crowd was just a bit boring to be honest! Plus room 2 of Fabric is soooo dark and dingy you couldn't even be amazed by any fancy lights or anything
Anyway we left Sven at about 6am, walked to the tube and it wasn't open for another hour :x Somehow went on a bit of a walkabout to Liverpool street via St Pauls and Bank  and then ended up jumping in a black cab home.
Spent all day drinking spritzers and re-coupoerating... Sar, Tom and Jamie popped round to say HI! at about 10.30am and entertained us until about 3pm, after they left me and Jon collapsed into bed and didn't move until 7am this morning :D

All around good weekend... the details:

Friday: Went out with the local journalist corps for happy hour drinks at a restaurant called Vermel. Went home to change at which time the wife informed she was not up for going out.

Headed alone to club Fabrique where one of the two guys from Who Da Funk was playing. Great, dirty house set that had the crowd screaming and shaking hands in the air. He killed it a little, for me, close to the end of his 4 hour set when he threw on some overplayed standards, but overall a great night. I danced until 6am before wandering home.

Saturday: Watched on the tele as Chelsea pulled out a scrappy but convincing 4-1 win over Crystal Palace. I hope those guys beat the drop... great spirit on that time. Held a party for about 30 friends/acquaintences at Albion Pub to celebrate my 33rd birthday. Much alcohol was consumed. Cost me a good bit of change.

At around 2am, headed over to slub Slava to catch Jo Mills. Another killer set... I danced like a fool until 5am, at which point my brain ceased fully functioning and I made the missus and my friend take me home.

Sunday: Sat on my butt all day, except to pick up some Chinese take out food. Continued my project to convert all my CDs (800 of them) to MP3s. I'm up to number 276.

lou's been there, said the ex-footballer was a cock.

I didn't realise he owned it til we were there, if I'd have known I'd have boycotted it on principal

He was THEE BIGGEST c*ck ever when we were there.....

Cool weekend Chewie! ;)

Friday - 30th birthday party in a really nice bar in Newcastle - private room, which was just too bizarre for words - watched mr PL among others walk into a mirrored wall - twice!! - room was in the shape of a wedge but one wall was floor to ceiling mirrors - obviously to increase the size of the room, very very mind boggling after a couple of hours of drinking and a sneaky bean.... left at 11.00pm to walk down to Disco Noir for Slam. Really weird night - the club was only half full so really not condusive to a set from Slam - the music was just to much for a room half full, still they threw in some quality tracks - anyway more beans and carry on back at the Pups kennel - were it just got silly.

Saturday - Not too bad (definately embracing a Friday night clubbing rather than a Sat night clubbing :D ) just generally p155ed around all day having a laugh. Died a death by 5.30pm-6.00pm so we decided to be a bit radical and finish off last nights entertainment...... :?

Sunday - sh1t day - watched the depressing football - dealt with a depressed Mr PL then read the Sunday papers and to my dismay found out that Mr Emerson is now going out with that weird looking Kate Thorton......

Still all in all a good prelude to next weekend in London..... nice bit of training!

Tom read that in News of the World and made us play the 'guess what DJ Kate Thornton is going out with' game and it took us about an hour to guess it was old Dazza

It was indeed - I take it you have experienced the mirrors????

Upstairs bar with the outside terrace is the best area..... lots of pretty lights and candles in the old town walls - very nice seating too - reminds me of being on holiday....

Hehe, I was in last Saturday on the Missus' birthday celebrations.

I saw two blokes walk into the wall, soo funny!!

I also spent the previous sunday sitting outside upstairs on one of the big seats stretched out as if i was in bed. With the heaters on it lush.

Gonna head over there for Bank Holiday Sunday as well.

I do like the bar - as you say - tres relaxing on the beds upstairs!! We did a Christmas Party there and hired all of the upstairs - we even got a snow machine in which was fab.....

Also - nicest bouncers in Newcastle! Which is always a bonus :D
Bad point - no bloody signal for mobile phones!!
