Weekend Break - few questions xxx

Hi I have visited many times before to Ibiza, but never out of the main busy season.

Staying at Sol Bahia (nr Cala Gracio area/Sunset strip) apartments for a few nights.

I have from 28th May to the 15th June ish to take a long weekend there..... and wondered if its gonna be worth it, getting busy atall? Doesnt need to be Radio 1 weekend style mental - just upbeat.

Whats the weather like during these weeks, and will there be a decent vibe at the apartments, as cant see any reviews during early june for this hotel.

Also, can someone please advise me of the following:-

How much it is now for a full size bottle of Smirnoff in the local supermercados? Wondering whether it might be better to get those 2 for £18 from the airport on way out?

How much is it for a taxi from airport, to sunset strip area?

And finally, as the flights we will be getting arrive early in the morning, is that Fatsos/Great British cafe place still open for a good brekky?

Cant think of anything else I need to know. Thanks so much guys x8)
 
think it's about 30 euro for the taxi... just get a load of the cheap bottles of vodka from Eroski.. 4 euro each they were during the closing parties.. :D

are you going for space/dc-10 opening parties?? :)
 
Flights are really expensive for anything around the last weekend in May. Checked last night out of optimistic curiousity.

The two weeks before however are dirt cheep, about 75 quid return (ish) from Manchester.

A well known boutique hotel is doing a special in May for three nights at about a quarter of the noraml price. pm me if you like
 
Anytime after the openings is good to visit - My fav time to visit Ibiza is anytime in June - funny that as I am going late Aug/Sept this year :lol:. I have always found early/mid June to be fairly upbeat plus the weather is always fantastic too.

I have stopping in that area many times at Costa Mar and El Coto both close to Sol Bahia. Depending on the taxi driver and how fast they drive a cab from the airport will cost you in the region of 30€ to 35€

Not sure on the price of a bottle of Smirnoff would be in the supermarkets but I reckon if you can get 2 bottles for £18 in the airport then I would opt for that unless you want to drink cheap nasty brands in Ibiza?

I think fatso's is open from about 9am onwards possibly earlier? Can't remember but I have been there for breakfast fairly early...

I have stayed in the Sol Bahia in June before and am again this year, June 21st to 25th. They are fairly quiet, not many apartments where being used and we where the only people at the pool when I was there in June two years ago, but they are good for chilling out and the staff pretty much let you get up to what you want! I'd also recommend the bbq on a Thursday evening!

The weather is lovely, hot enough to get a colour, but not an absolute sweatfest like in July/August.

The vibe is alot more chilled out around San An at that time too. If you are there for the opening parties (last weekend of May) the clubs will be busy, if not though, they won't be busy until later in June when the individual club nights have their own opening parties.

It's around 30 for a taxi from the airport and Fatso's will be open.
