We love Sundays

Hey there

For those not on certain substances, what is the deal with We love Space.

When is the best time to turn up and do they stop entry after a certain time?

When is it busiest and this weekend will it be absolutely rammed, being the first week of school holidays?

If you get there before 4PM you will get a wristband so you can leave the club and go back in one time, after this you cant leave and come back in.

We normally go around 3PM stay till about 9PM, then leave for a couple of hours and then go back in again about Midnight, the later it gets the busier it is.

Those not on substances there is no point.

A poor attitude! I would never have anything but admiration for anybody who went to somewhere like Space and had a good time straight. Having been a clubber since 1990 it's a feat I am ashamed to say that I have never managed.

Trust me I spoke to 2 guys who were just drinkers and wondered what the hell they had wasted €50 on and were now paying €10 a drink.

Not my words, thiers.

been doing it ever since i started clubbing! no substances needed, don't see a point in it, i go there for the music!

I went for the first time this year and i've never done anything, i felt like i didn't need to even drink, it was all about the atmosphere & the music, one of my favourite nights on the island now

I am sticking to my guns on this one folks.

Glad you have a great time when at Space listening to the drug fuelled music and enjoying the drug induced atmosphere :)

been to ibiza six years on the trot (with wls involved everytime as well) and i've never touched any drugs out there, drink is more than enough. its all about stamina, managed 14 hours last year with just alcohol involved (probably could have laster longer if i stayed sober)

i dont understand why people need to take drugs to enjoy it, if you want to do them then thats fair enough, but not everyone needs to and to assume that everyone needs to be on drugs to enjoy themselves is just foolish.

alcohol is a drug as well, it's just that it is legal and the others are not.

and this being said by a drinker only!

I agree completely. I love it for the music only and don't need anything illegal to feel like I am in heaven when the music is good. My mates are the same and my girlfriend also.

I also know a lot of people who just drink water all night and love it.

For me Ibiza is (1) the music (2) the clubs and (3) the chance to forget about everyday life and just chill with no worries.

Last year when a certain track came on at the start of van Buuren's set was the best moment/feeling of my life.

Well there's lots of cheap Irish bars for drinker types.

...and I'm certainly not there for the drugs. You're insinuating that we may as well be at our local ritzys if we're munted enough. 8O:lol:

I'm one of the biggest club snobs going  ...and I think Space is still one of the best experiences on the planet. Still a clubbers rite of passage.

The people above clearly aren't representative and frankly should b*gger off to Sh*galuf.

Incidentally - wtf are you going that's so bloody good.:roll:

If the music and atmosphere are right, you can keep going for a pretty long time. We managed 14 hours at Space this year with no intoxicants. I would usually have a couple of drinks when out at home, although usually not in Ibiza, but too much and it starts to sap the stamina a bit. If certain substances play a part in creating the atmosphere that doesn't bother me, people can do what they want, but it's ludicrous to say it can't be done without.

Have to agree with the Space comment and every clubber should do this at least once a year :D I am not a club snob though and as I have said in other threads found I had a brilliant night in Eden for Garlands where I know a lot of, to use your words, club snobs would not set foot.

Well I can tell you that a week past Sunday my body was in Space, my mind was just wandering around and my brain was in the frying pan.

To quote from another post "i dont understand why people need to take drugs to enjoy it, if you want to do them then thats fair enough, but not everyone needs to and to assume that everyone needs to be on drugs to enjoy themselves is just foolish."

I don't "need" to take drugs just choose to take them the same way some people choose not to. It is everyone to thier own so lets just all be happy wether we are drunk, sober, mashed or flying. Just don't lean into me swaying and talk pish into my ear

You're right there... ;)

...and add El Divino to that list too (ref your other post)

Ah well - each to his own eh? Different strokes for different folks and all. ;)

the following comment kind of suggest you do, well for space anyway

Those not on substances there is no point.

your basically saying if your not on drugs you wouldnt go, which would suggest a need for drugs for you to go to space.

but as you say, each to their own, people on drugs dont bother me at all (well the majority anyway), you tend to get more hassle from those who are p*ssed, as lnng as you enjoy yourself then thats all that mattersw.

I will admit that I find clubbing much more enjoyable when I have used substances and that includes alcohol.

If I just drank and never took anything else I would be one of those totally annoying drunk people. My non substances taking friends will bear this out and sometimes even tell me to get a pill or whatever when on night out.

I could drink less but, thats the thing with me and drink, I don't usually know I have had too much until it's too late.

Can we have a wee straw poll and give educated guesses as to the % of people in Sapce for WLS on or off substances.

But alcohol IS a substance. I think you're brainwashed because 'drugs' are illegal.
