I'm going at the end of the month for the first time, some fantastic line-ups including many names also at Ibiza this year, and only 40 minutes from where I live - I expect I'll have a blast.

My main question I suppose to whoever has been before is an obvious one... what are security/searches like on the gates? I expect it to be fairly easy to sort myself out inside, like any festival, but just wanted some more info really.

Also what is the general vibe like, considering it's not a camping festival?

How you get on ? Get past the single file sniffer dogs ?
Was a good day on Sunday apart from the paradise tent sound being mashed

Posted in another thread about my experience but I'd say overall it was maybe 7/10, music was great, especially in the techno tent with Sven Vath and Chris Liebing.

You can tell the fest is in it's infancy though - massive queues everywhere, quite disorganised (they ran out of alcohol at one point on the Sunday!). Also the majority of dealers in there were peddling some absolute shit... pretty much brown sugar and paracetamol crushed up and selling it as mandy... not good... if I go again I'll be taking my own.

Yeah just take own, personal use they won't pull you out anyway ... It's just looking for big quants...

We found the VIP bar ok all day but about 10 we had to go back to VIP as there was not beer left anywhere else

Only downside we saw a few fights and I got soaked in red cider but you always get a few muppets!

Defected (part form Armen van Helden) was great and paradise tent! Definitely booking for next year !
