Waiting around to get into hotel

Hi there,

we are arriving at Ibiza airport at 10:30 on Sat morning but can't check into our hotel (including bags) until 16:00. Has anyone got any recommendations for what to do in the mean time considering we will have suitcases etc. with us at the time.

At the moment we're just thinking of heading into San An and finding somewher to sit down for a beer.

16:00 is quite late for a check in, but yeah, plenty of smaller bars in the west end where your bags will be safe to leave inside. You could get the bus from the airport to kill some time.

or you could contact the hotel and ask them to have the room ready for you. Tell them you will pay a small fee for the service and they will sort it. Anything is possible in Ibiza once you can pay for it.

Email the hotel direct do not go through your rep if you are on package
 
Pack lite and don't take anything expensive that you can't keep on you. The leave the suit cases in the hotel. What hotel are you staying at as this sound like porkies

This happened to me a couple of years ago. Landed at 2am, had to leave my bag at the hotel, and hit San An til sun up with Passport and almost 1000 euros in my pocket. Does sound like Porkies on the hotels part, I know villas often have a 4pm check in time, but didn't think hotels did...

just ask the hotel can you leave your baggage in the storage room they use for people checking out, it shouldnt be a problem
 
No doubt they will still want to see the back of you by midday (or earlier) on your leaving day !
Would be interesting to know which hotel this is....

call them and ask if they are out of their mind and you will burn their cockroach-castle
down to the ground in case they don´let you in @ a human check-in time ;)
 
at the guesthouse where we stayed we were instructed to, under no circumstances, ring the bell at any time between 2-7pm. As siestas go, that has to be the Daddy..
 
Being a villa the last guests probably had to vacate by 11 > 12, This gives time for the cleaners/maintenance to do their bit till 4 pm,
May be worth an ask of the owner/ Agency if you can drop your cases etc earlier (be careful with valuables of course)
